I did not try the food, my bad experience had to do with getting two drinks that came out to 12.00 and did not impress. They were filled to the brim with ice and it wasn't even a 16 oz cup. They charged extra for coconut milk too, it could have been 10 with regular milk. The whole thing was ridiculous, I would have still felt ripped off at 10 dollars.... the drink tasted hot in a cup full of ice when I first got it, and it was so artificial flavor tasting... It started to taste better as the ice melted.... I mean I just can't believe what a rip off it was. I was ok to pay that price, but not for a mediocre drink. I do think the folks Eating here were happy. It has a neighbor around it, and I believe a lot of folks were just walking over. They had the tiny restaurant cut in half and were not utilizing all the booths because they sort of made the service area around them. I mean, it's the kind of thing that makes my managerial mind blown. They had a wait and empty booths that they simply choose to not utilize. Plus they served several take out orders, and just had this one waitress handling everything. Get a second employee on the front of the house, reopen the booths, make one booth the to-go station, and move the check out station towards...
Read moreExcellent Thai food! They serve a broad menu with fresh ingredients. The friendly owner serves up hot tea immediately. I had the green curry with chicken and medium spice. The spice was just right and the meat generous. Portions are large enough to split (no charge). We like to split the entree and start with an order of fresh rolls ( salad ingredients wrapped in rice paper you dip in peanut sauce). Service was quick my order came in 10 min..My bill was $13.95 Turn east from I-5 about 1/4 mile watch for the Subway sign, they share the same building. Closed from 3 to 4...
Read moreThe food at or from Chalerm is terrific. The basil fried rice and fried calamari are superb, and in general the food here is possibly the second best at any Thai restaurant I've ever been to, and that's saying quite a bit. Five out of the six or so Thai restaurants I've been to are all outstanding, and the only one of them that was clearly better than Chalerm was a particularly good one in Boston, Massachusetts. I feel that Chalerm is at least tied with Jack Sprat's and Stacy's for/as being the best three restaurants in Cottage...
