Godfather's Pizza — Restaurant in Council Bluffs

I used to work for godfather's many many years ago and the food used to be amazing. And actually he was good. Just not too long ago. It was great. Not too long ago. But my last two times going to godfathers has been horrible. One time was a buffet at one time was 2 days ago. I ordered a small specialty pizza and a medium on topper breadsticks and cinnamon monkey bread which the cinnamon monkey bread was excellent but the medium pepperoni half pepperoni half hamburger pizza was a bubble on the pepperoni side was just one big bubble. No pepperoni's hardly and the other side was one big bubble and all the hamburgers pushed to the middle and all the cheese they pushed in the middle so there was really no pizza. And the small pizza was not half and half. It was about 3/4 and a quarter. They were way overcooked. I know I've worked in the pizza business for many, many years and I actually managed godfather's Pearl Street West Broadway for a long time. I knew Mike gottschalk very well . Though he don't own it anymore. I know he's got a lot of pull in the industry. I will have to let him know what happened to his restaurant that he used to own. Anyways what happened was I called them two days ago. The day I ordered the food they must be closed cuz I ordered late. They must have closed but I called them and they didn't answer and then one day goes by and then today I call him again and I asked him if they could. I told him my situation and asked him if they could help get that order fixed. They said no, it's not their policy to fix it and they don't have to fix it because it's been longer than one day. Are you kidding me? So you're meaning to tell me after one day I cannot get my food replaced because of your policy? A policy that I was not informed of. A policy that nobody is informed of that they're going to get told they can't replace their food because you messed it up and you don't want to fix it. But it's my fault and I got to pay for it. $40. I paid for junk except the cinnamon monkey bread was excellent. That's all I got to say about it. I asked for an owner. I asked for anybody above the manager. She would pass the phone to anybody. Then she said hold on a minute and hung up on me. That's my experience with godfathers on October 8th 2003. Horrible. Absolutely horrible. I will never order there again. They probably don't realize I've already there before because I got a new phone number but it's fine. Eat at your own risk. I'd say cuz this food absolutely is not worth $40 for one's medium pizza. One small specialty and a cheese stick and a monkey bread which the monkey bread was the only thing edible. It would have been worth it. Totally. Had the food been good and edible. I don't know why they couldn't fix this. I called in a good mood. Good manner was not mad. Was not angry but boy were they not happy. Ordered a pizza for delivery and was told it would be 45 minutes. 10 minutes after I ordered the pizza my daughter called and needed picked up and since it has only been 10 minutes since I ordered I went ahead to go pick her up at 30 minutes after I made my order I got a text message saying that doordash was at my address to deliver the pizza. I call the number provided in the text message and told them that I was not at home but to please leave the pizza on the porch they said okay. Then I get another text message saying that my pizza would be at Godfathers. I text back and asked if they could please just leave it at my door and I got the response of yes. When I get home there was no pizza any where. I immediately called the door dash driver and he answered then hung up before I could even say hello. So I call the Godfathers location and it was closed so noone answered my call. My card was already charged. I hope Ron with door dash enjoyed the pizza I bought. I asked for golden crust on w large pizzas. What we got was overly flattened - yet not thin crust. The edges were so tough you couldn't bite through. The center was cracker like on the bottom but still doughy on top. The centers of the pizzas were cut but not the edges. The cherry stressed I ordered looked nothing like other dessert pizzas I have gotten from same location previously. I ordered in person and waited for my order.
