Newport Creamery — Restaurant in Coventry

My boyfriend and I stopped by today at 7pm for some ice cream. I told the young lady that I wanted 2 scoops of ice cream on a cone. My boyfriend wanted 1 vanilla/oreo Awful Awful. They slapped a container with 2 scoops in it. I was confused. I thought it was build your own cone for a second.. in a polite tone, I told her I wanted it on a cone. The girl who took our order told her to just scoop it out and put it in a cone, in a nasty tone. I was bothered because I wasn't rude and they were the one who got the order wrong, but I didn't say anything. It was busy and they were probably frustrated. I get it. When we were getting checked out, she put 2 Awful Awfuls on the counter. Again, not in a rude way, we told her we only wanted 1. She got a real nasty attitude, "Didn't you say you wanted an oreo and a vanilla." Like first of all, why do you have to come at your customer like that? There's no need for that. Just apologize for not taking the orders right or don't say anything at all. We didn't appreciate that at all. Took a lot for me to hold my tongue. Not cool. They need to get educated on how to speak to their customers. Aside from that, I liked my ice cream choices (chocolate, cookies and cream). My boyfriend didn't like his. He said the cookie pieces tasted stale and it was liquidy. He wasn't sure if the Awful Awfuls are supposed to be? If it wasn't for the good ice cream. It would be a flat 1...

I come to Newport Creamery often I really like the awful awfuls like anyone does but this location was soured for me forever. I went in one night with my mother and 2 other family members and had a long meal without thinking much of it until I examined the seating area closer. The ledge next to the booth I was in was absolutely covered in ants and keep in mind this was in arms reach of my food and drink so I wasn’t fond of the idea ants could have walked into my plate so I told my family I was eating with to which they got the attention of a worker informed them that we didn’t feel comfortable eating in the restaurant and we would not be paying for the meal the worker then put hands on my aunt to grab the takeout containers from her and said “okay then go”. The worker was incredibly disrespectful for touching someone like that and I will not be coming to this location for awful awfuls anymore (have a video of the ants crawling into the cracks of the window for...

Two stars because for one; I walked inside to get my called-ahead take out order and I didn't see the "if you're getting take out go outside sign " which is inside at the front counter and not outside where someone can see it. But when I apologized for not seeing the sign a girl told me to stay and it was okay and that someone would ring me out... Two people went to the register and just looked at me and said nothing, I was waiting for like five minutes and no one rang me out until the kid that took my order realised I was there for my take out order, so bad customer service for one and for two; my fajita wrap was awful.
