Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ (5/5) I recently had the pleasure of visiting Woke, a breakfast restaurant that offers much more than just a catchy name. Despite the unfortunate misinterpretation by some, Woke is a delightful establishment with a nice environment, clean facilities, fast service, and a truly amazing steak and cheese omelette.
Upon entering Woke, I immediately noticed the pleasant and inviting atmosphere. The restaurant has a modern yet cozy vibe, with tasteful decor and comfortable booths that provide a relaxing dining experience. The ambiance is perfect for starting your day off on a positive note.
One aspect that stood out to me was the cleanliness of the bathroom. It's always refreshing to visit a restaurant where attention is paid to maintaining hygienic facilities. Woke exceeded my expectations in this regard, and I appreciated the efforts made to ensure a pristine environment.
The service at Woke was impressively fast and efficient. The staff greeted me with warmth and promptly guided me to a booth. Despite the restaurant being busy, my order was taken promptly, and my food arrived surprisingly quickly. The attentive and friendly servers added to the overall positive experience.
Now, let's talk about the star of the show—the steak and cheese omelette. I must say, it was a culinary masterpiece! The omelette was perfectly cooked, with a fluffy texture and a generous filling of tender steak and melted cheese. Every bite was bursting with flavor, and the combination of savory steak and creamy cheese was a match made in breakfast heaven. It was a delightful and satisfying dish that left me wanting more.
In addition to the standout omelette, the menu at Woke offers a variety of breakfast options to suit different tastes and preferences. Whether you're in the mood for classic pancakes, hearty breakfast burritos, or lighter options like avocado toast, there's something for everyone to enjoy.
Despite the unfortunate controversy surrounding the name, it's important to judge Woke based on its merits as a breakfast spot. The restaurant offers a warm and inviting environment, ensures cleanliness throughout, provides fast and friendly service, and serves up delicious breakfast dishes.
In conclusion, I highly recommend giving Woke a chance, setting aside any preconceived notions. The pleasant atmosphere, clean facilities, speedy service, and the truly amazing steak and cheese omelette make it a breakfast destination worth visiting. Start your day right with a visit to Woke and indulge in their flavorful offerings—you won't be...
Read moreMy husband and I decided to try Woke after receiving great recommendations from friends after it opened over a year ago. We certainly enjoyed having breakfast and coffee at Woke so we decided to invite our son's best friends who are twins to join us for breakfast to celebrate that one of them was in remission from cancer. While enjoying our coffee after having breakfast we were approached by Carmen, the owner, and asked to leave because "there were a lot of people waiting". Needles to say that we were speechless as any customer would expect that after spending over $ 100 in breakfast you would be allowed to enjoy your coffe. None of us had ever been requested to vacate the presmises of the restaurant that we were dining in so we did not return for several months. However, we decided to give them another chance until a month ago when I asked for a chocolate milk that as usual was too light. We asked for extra syrup as the milk was too light which had not been a issue in the past but in this occasion our waitress who was new told Carmen that we requested extra chocolate syrup. Carmen's response was "I don't know how to make it darker". Finally, the chocolate milk was brought back with the extra syrup. We were completely taken aback when my husband checked the bill and realized that we were charged $ 1.50 for an extra shot of chocolate syrup. Considering that at Walmart a 24 oz bottle of Hershey's chocolate syrup costs $ 3.62 we certainly will NOT be returning to Woke. Customer service is...
Read moreupdate I am still a huge fan of Woke! I didn’t realize Google doesn’t allow you to do multiple reviews, so I’m adding to my first experience. I frequent Woke probably at least once a week. Their barista is better than Starbucks and their online ordering makes the pick up seamless and quick for work days! They have lunch now and as usual - everything is fresh, great quality, and presentation is stunning! I will continue to be a big supporter of this cute, quaint, family owned business for all their years!
My husband and I had to check it out after my sister in law heard about the political controversy all the way up in Boston. We only live 2 mins away and Coventry definitely needed a breakfast place. We had to wait a little for a table as the sitting is limited but the staff was very attentive and updated us frequently which never really happens at another restaurant. Our food came out within 5 mins which was surprising. Super fast!! It was really hot and fresh. Their menu has higher end cafe barista options with a simple yet modern take on some classics for breakfast. The presentation of food was beautiful! I was even creeping on other tables food as well and everything looked fabulous! The service was what I was most impressed with even tho the food was great!! Multiple staff checked in, making sure our drinks were full and that we were satisfied. Everyone was so sweet. We will definitely be back soon! Welcome to Coventry Woke! Happy to have you here and support you through all the hate you...
