NOTE: I did not have the all-you-eat sushi which is often praised, and this is based off the one meal I did have
I really tried to give this place a fair shake but I had a less than ideal experience. First the decor and the atmosphere is great minus a few things but overall I could see how this would be an accommodating environment for small groups and large. But unfortunately I cannot recommend the food based on the meal I had.
I ordered the pork katsu which according to the menu comes with rice and soup or salad. The soup is awful. It at first looks like a typical hondashi clear soup but it's much darker and almost seems like it's mixed with French onion soup mix. This theory was further supported by the soggy breaded onions in it. It was horrid and I got about two or three spoon fills in before I put it to the side.
The side of white rice is somehow disappointing as well. The serving size is ok but I can't explain it, it's just not cooked right. It's American short grian rice so it is very dry and doesn't hold well to chop sticks.
The pork katsu was the worst. The breading is nearly twice as thick as the cutlet istelf and made the experience of eating it difficult and tiresome. In some cuts, it seems like maybe it was undercooked so they threw it back in the dryer. These pieces were inedible they were so hard. The sauce is good but it is more than likely Bulldog brand katsu sauce. Not like that's bad or anything but you can't rely on "you're eating it for the sauce" when this is something you can get locally at a grocery store.
There are not many restaurants here offering Tonkatsu around here but the few that do really knock it out of the park and most garnish it with an egg at least.
Maybe this isn't this restaurants strong suite and maybe I should have got the sushi. But if you are putting sometime like this on the menu and charging $18 for it, it should be an $18...

It's rare to find an all-you-can-eat menu where every dish that comes out feels thoughtfully prepared, plated with care, and backed by genuinely high-quality ingredients. Each one was crafted with such attention to detailâbeautifully presented and offering bold, complementary flavors with amazing texture in every bite. These aren't your average starters. They felt more like curated tasting dishes you'd expect from a high-end sushi bar. I enjoyed them so much I had to order seconds of each just to relive the experience.    Read moreIm rating this place as I rate other sushi restaurants. I always have high expectations when it comes to sushi.
With that being said.
I walk in with my family of 5 and we are seated immediately. The waitress takes our order and doesnât know the menu whatâs so ever. She seemed real lost. I mean I get it itâs a new restaurant but she should of been helped. I ordered the chirashi sushi with no escolar. They still gave me escolar , the tuna is frozen tuna (packaged tuna) , the tamago is frozen tamago (not made fresh comes frozen in a bag), all I ate was the yellowtail and salmon. She never asked what was wrong but itâs ok, she was lost the entire time. Ordered takoyaki and calamari and of course both arenât made fresh they are both packaged frozen foods you can get from any Asian market. So I give up and just order and shrimp fried rice thinking to myself. No way they can mess this up. Boy was I wrong. It was the most unseasoned rice I ever had. No sprouts, no green onion, no garlic butter (or just garlic) no carrot, just soy sauce and egg. I should have known better when the waitress asked me if I wanted yum yum sauce with my rice. The shrimp were a nice size but thatâs about it. My son got the all you can eat and never got his food until we were done. She never put his order in. Finally another waitress comes and apologizes then brings my son his food. Nothing here is made fresh everything is packaged frozen goods cooked then served. Equivalente to Applebees. I must say I never complained or was rude. I just observed and now I know never to come back. Bill was like...
