My first time having Johnny's pizza and it was and epic fail. I placed my order online and mistakenly added Green olives instead of Green peppers, I admit my mistake. However when i arrived to the restaurant and realized the mistake the MANAGER offered to PICK the olives off the pizza and refused to remake it because they would be "losing money" After asking for a refund, I was told that they couldn't do that and I would have to request it online. I called and spoke to Scott Allen i believe is the Vice President and asked for a refund. He told me that he couldn't help me at the time and someone would give me a call back. ( I'm still waiting for a call). I decided to go ahead and pay for another pizza to be made the way that I needed it.After paying for my new order the same manager came over and voided my payment and offered a discount which i thought was a very nice gesture. However, I realized that the new pizza he made barely had any cheese or toppings on it!!! the previous pie was loaded with cheese. If i knew a "discount" meant i would also get half the toppings and cheese i would've declined and paid full price like i was prepared to. Is it too much to ask for decent customer service or a quality product? the picture shows the difference between the first pizza they made and the remake of what was supposed to be the correct order.

This was my first time at this location and it will be my last. Everything started off ok but once we ordered and received our drinks the service slowed down to a crawl. My husband got the chicken sandwich and it was a little dry so I asked if he could get some mayo. It was already supposed to be on the sandwich but all I saw was bread, chicken and cheese. The server said ok. At no time were we told it would be an extra charge until we got the ticket and were charged an extra $0.79 for extra dressing. We didn’t order a salad. I asked the server at that time if they charged extra for mayo, a condiment, and she said yes. I then wanted to know why wouldn’t you let the customer know there was an extra charge so they could then decide if they wanted to pay extra for mayo, a condiment, and she replied they charge extra. For me it’s not about the $0.79 and the tablespoon of mayo, it’s the principle of the situation. I mean do they charge extra for ketchup too? Would they tell you it was extra? So if you are visiting this establishment I suggest you ask if they charge extra bc they’re not going to tell you. FYI the ceiling fans also need to be cleaned there is a spider web and dead dragonfly in the web that I would hate to fall in someone’s food.

We were in the area and hungry. Gave this place a try. Waited nearly an hour if not an hour for our dine in order. We were the only customers at the time of ordering. HOW DO YOU FORGET TO PUT CHEESE ON THE PIZZA???‼️‼️‼️ I would have left sooner due to the wait for no reason but my assistant stated “we’ve been waiting this long may as well continue to wait and plus we are hungry” I informed the waitress of the long wait with no other customers, poorly made pizza and no cheese on pizza. Riley came over. Riley SAW with her own eyes and had a look of shock at the poorly made pizza with a scattered topping that looked to have been forgotten and just tossed on the top also NO CHEESE that comes on the pizza ordered‼️ She was very apologetic and stated “that should not have happened” Riley customer service was great. She did give a discount for the mess up and again was apologetic.

🚫 Community Alert: Johnny’s Pizza in Covington, GA 🚫

So I decided to give this place a try one more time after my first experience 10months which I gave a review concerning also. This past Tuesday around 5:30 PM, I walked into Johnny’s Pizza in Covington, GA with the simple intention of enjoying a meal and doing a little work on my laptop. What I encountered instead was racially charged disrespect that no paying customer should ever have to endure.

From the moment I entered, staff and servers paused and stared in a way that made it painfully clear I was not welcome. Thankfully, the host—a kind young Black man named Jaden—politely seated me at a table near the front door where I could plug in my laptop. But just minutes later, a white server named Maddie came over and told me that I had to move because the table was “reserved.”

When I asked what time the reservation was for, she admitted it was for 7:00 PM—yet it was only 5:30 PM. I explained that I was already seated, had simply come to eat, and that my presence in no way interfered with a reservation more than 90 minutes away. Still, she insisted I could not stay.

I then moved—again with Jaden’s help—to another table near an outlet. But within minutes, Maddie returned and told me that table was also “reserved for trivia at 7:00.” When I asked where, then, I was allowed to sit, she directed me back across the room—but made it clear that I could only sit in a booth, not a table.

It was then I noticed something troubling: the few Black customers in the restaurant were all seated in booths, while the tables were occupied only by white patrons. After being told the second time to move and realizing this disturbing pattern, I chose to leave.

The message was loud and clear: I was not wanted at Johnny’s Pizza.

This kind of segregated treatment in 2025 is disgusting, disgraceful, and unacceptable. No person of color should ever be told they cannot sit and dine simply because of who they are.

We are calling on our community to stand together and say enough is enough. • Do not support establishments that humiliate and discriminate against Black and brown patrons. • Share this story so others are warned. • Hold Johnny’s Pizza accountable—demand that they apologize and correct this behavior immediately.

Until then, we declare loud and clear: 👉🏽 Black and brown people deserve better. 👉🏾 We will not spend our dollars where we are disrespected.

✊🏾 Together, let’s protect one another and push back against places that still think racism has a seat...

Update: I guess it's a hit or miss as we've had a great visit since our last... 🤷🏻‍♀️

Update:since new ownership, we've had 3 great DINNERS at this location. Today, I went in for lunch, why did I do that?! The worst puniest "calzone ever! Small, mostly bread and hardly any feeling. Please go get trained at Amici's on how to make a proper calzone! No worries, I'll just go to the square next time! 👎🏼

I am updating my review for this location from five Star to One Star.

My spouse and I went and to grab dinner for our family tonight in a to-go order after both working 12-hour shifts for the week. We ordered our usual which is garlic knots, wings and a calzone; The calzone was extremely poor and the lemon pepper wings didn't have any seasoning on them. I said something nicely about the calzone being poor and the owner, who apparently made the calzone, seemingly was offended. I was nice about the whole situation I told him that I would take it out of discount but it was small compared to what I normally receive, he laughed and said he wasn't going to give it to me at a discount and then proceeded to attempt to argue with me after I told him I wasn't going to argue. My spouse told him that he needed to be quiet and just to take it off of our order. The owner held the calzone up in the box and was making a comment of the length of the calzone, the issue was the width. The owner came up to the cash register to remove the calzone from our order, and then offered to take 50% off. I said that I wasn't even requesting 50% off I would have taken less but because he had put his hands all over it that I wasn't going to take it now and then he said well I have a glove on and continue to smirk again. He took the calzone off and when I viewed my receipt only to find that they charged us extra for lemon pepper seasoning, in which we would not have needed to ask for if they would actually put seasoning on the lemon pepper wings that literally come naked. Anytime the owner is there and he is making food he absolutely cuts corners and the food is never any good, our garlic knots were literally tasteless, but yet he charges full price for his items plus any little extra that you ask for.

This really sucks because we love Johnny's, we were there about a week ago and dined in, we had April I believe was her name and she was amazing and the food was great, however, the owner was not there, therefore he was not the one to fix our food. Even another worker agreed that the calzone was small compared to what is...

Please be careful when using this restaurant’s website vs. Doordash, Ubereats, etc. I placed my order 13 days ago on their website and at checkout I did not realize there was a glitch until after processing my payment. Three pizzas were ordered instead of 1 and there was also a duplicate order for one of the subs ordered. Once the mistake was realized, I immediately contacted the Covington location and called Doordash, as they were to handle delivery. I was pleased that the store cancelled the order as requested and agreed to proceed with the corrected order. Unfortunately, I was told that they would not be able to process the refund; it would have to come from Doordash. No worries, or so I thought. I cancelled the order with Doordash, who promptly told me they would not be processing the refund and that it would have to come from the merchant. Again, I thought no worries, must be a miscommunication. I simply placed the corrected order and then called Johnny’ back. After a lengthy conversation, I was told I would need to speak with a manager. I called back after a couple days and began speaking with the manager, who assured me she would resolve the issue. After Christmas I contacted the store again since I had yet to receive my refund of $178.98. This time I was told they were waiting for a response from Slice. (??? No clue why). Called back again on Monday the 30th as no one had reached out to me, despite having my information. Again, lengthy conversation and explanations but assured the situation would be resolved. This time I received a call back from Johnny’s stating they had been told by Doordash that a refund had been processed on Dec 22nd, the day of the original cancellation. Not sure which entity was lying but I decided all 3 parties needed to be on the call. Once we were all on the line, the Doordash rep reiterated that they are not responsible for the refund. And when I looked up the phone number associated with the charge to my account, it came up as Johnny’s Pizza Buford, GA. The manager then said she would contact me once she looked into this and give me a call back. Almost 24 hours later, no call back. I reached out again on Jan 2nd and spoke with a gentleman who told me this was an issue for the owner to handle. Soooo again I must wait. I am so not the wait and see type. As of this evening, a refund has still not been issued. This was my first time dealing with this restaurant and I can guarantee it will be my last. The pizza was decent, not true NY style but still...
