The Frontier Frau is an absolute gem in the heart of Cozad! From the moment you walk through the door, you’re greeted with a warm, welcoming atmosphere that blends small-town charm with a fresh, modern flair. The décor is creative and inviting, and every corner seems to have its own personality.

The menu is fantastic—full of delicious, thoughtfully crafted dishes that taste just as good as they look. Everything is fresh and flavorful, and you can tell a lot of care goes into the food and presentation. Whether you’re stopping in for a quick bite, a hearty lunch, or a special treat, you’ll leave feeling happy and satisfied.

The service is top-notch. Friendly faces, genuine hospitality, and a staff that makes you feel like family—it’s exactly the kind of place that makes Cozad special.

If you’re in town, don’t miss The Frontier Frau. It’s more than just a great spot to eat—it’s an experience that leaves...

A very unique brewery and restaurant, and especially rare on the frontier. You can't help but feel like you walked into a German bar when you come in. A beautiful wall of glasses line the bar, and showcases only true German beer styles. You can tell that the brewer takes great pride in getting their beers as close to true German as possible, and it shows. Don't come looking for an IPA or some fruited, chocolate concoction. These brews showcase the perfection of the process with no flavors to hide behind. We also split a large homemade pretzel, which I also highly recommend. We ordered ours with the apple butter, and I can't recommend that more. A wonderful combo of sweet and salt. The owner running the bar was very friendly and kept us company and answered all our questions about this unique brewery. I highly recommend you stop to experience...

While visiting from out of town, I asked my hairstylist for her top local recommendation, and she immediately suggested this restaurant. I decided to check it out, and I was beyond impressed. I truly wish we had a place like this back home. Anytime I am even remotely close, I will make it a point to stop by. The owners are outstanding—warm, welcoming, and extremely accommodating. The bartender was exceptional as well, the kind who creates such a genuine and enjoyable atmosphere that you want to return time and again. The handcrafted beer is excellent, the food is absolutely delicious, and the service is sincere, attentive, and professional. I cannot say enough about this establishment. If you are in the area, do yourself a favor and stop in—you will not be...

Food: 5/5 Drinks: 5/5 Ambience: 5/5 The Frontier Frau is enjoyable and beautifully decorated. They serve 4 beers on tap from your classic pilsner to your banana-note Hefeweizen and are served chilled. The food was served warm and the pizzas were delicious. The smoked sausage on the smoked bratwurst platter was to die for and made you want to melt. The pretzel and beer cheese was delicious as well. The Margherita and Beer Cheese & Bratwurst pizza were very appetizing. When you step into the Frau, you are in awe of the beautiful lighting and wood that decorate the dining room. The bar itself is organized and attractive with the clean bar tap handles. We will be back!

The service staff was very attentive and helpful coaching us through menu options and ensuring we knew what we were getting into. We ordered the Schwartzwalder and Swiss sandwich, and our server warned us the ham was not the tender deli ham we might be used to, but it was flavorful. We elected to proceed, and found out how right she was. The Lemon Radler was excellent as were the fresh kettle chips, and everything else about the sandwich -- except the ham. Maybe Germans should stick to engineering cars and leave ham to others to figure out? I am still giving five stars as everything else was solid, and we were warned.
