Red Bowl China — Restaurant in Cranberry Township

This is a generous 3 stars, it really is a 2.5.. Got the crispy wonton strips for kids while figuring out apps/order, the cost 2 bucks which was fine i guess except the were undercooked and greasy. I got hot and sour soup that was a touch below adequate.. Huge quartered raw button mushrooms, a few bland pieces of tofu.. Spice was good, but just not that great of flavor. Wife got an egg roll, looked like it was from Sam's club.. We all ordered general tsos. It was ok. Wasn't all white meat, but not too fatty, breading was ok, and it was decently crispy. Chicken was well sauced, But no sauce left for rice.. The fried rice was pretty good, the service was ok considering it was a girl that honestly maybe 13.. I had To flag her down for refills and she never checked on us but whatever.. She was polite..enough..i guess.. Anyway price was ok food ok. Wouldn't go again but...

The menu on their website states that the price for their lunch specials are $5.99 but they over charged me for 2 lunch special. When I said something about the price being different on their website the lady was rude and says they don’t have access to their website... what? How do you own your website but don’t have access to change things on it?!? That makes no sense at all. The food was disgusting, my beef and broccoli was rubbery, the fried rice was mushy. The general Tso’s chicken was hard as rocks, had no flavor at all. The hot and sour soup was horrible it lacked flavor as well, there was nothing to it but 4 small pieces of tofu and 2 small mushrooms and nothing else sorry but that is not hot and sour soup. Will never be going back here again. Panda Express sadly is better...

Food was delicious. I had the Pad Thai Tofu and my girlfriend had the Broccoli in Garlic Sauce. I usually don't care for Asian food because the sauce is heavy and too sweet. Both sauces (plus the duck sauce that came with the fried wontons) tasted fresh and homemade. Possibly the best Chinese I've ever had. I definitely liked it better than Chen's (the food, anyway).

The service was a bit slow, but I think that was mostly due to the stream of customers while we were dining in. Only other complaint is that I don't like country music.

I'll definitely be back to try the curry and...
