Carina e Dolce, Specialty Cakes & Cookies — Restaurant in Cranston

I want to share my bad experience with the cake Carina e Dolce prepared for my daughters graduation . Our first conversation to request the cake for this event was over the phone. She informed me that because of her busy schedule and that I was a previous client that all I needed to do was text you the picture of the cake, flavors and she would take care of it as you did from my previous daughters graduation party. I reconfirmed a week prior to the occasion if we were all set. She replied we were all set but that there is no delivery and no cake stand. Even though that was not expressed originally I was ok with it. When we came to pick it on the day of the celebration, she presented the cake to us. I said that this is not the cake we ordered. She said she never received the picture of the cake.Any professional who did not receive a picture of a cake for any occasion would have reached out by phone/text or email. That was never done so I presumed you had the correct information. The restaraunt manager at the event said that they could not even cut the bottom part of the cake cause it was not prepared correctly. Also the flavor was not the flavor we had requested as well. I had family and friends from all over the country for this and the cake is the center piece of this occasion. We were all extremely dissapointed. I will not refer this company...

My wedding cake was a complete disaster! I was completely disappointed seeing as this was one vendor I seemed so confident with at first! The images on our cake were one third of the size they should have been, the images were incorrect we ended up with two silhouette pictures which we when asked I advised I was The Hans and Laia silhouette heads on the top layer ying yang in the middle and do or do not at the bottom. so she slapped the image we actually wanted on the cardboard cake holder which was supposed to be a gold cake stand we were borrowing from her- clearly written on our details contract from day 1! The ying yang sign was ripped and upside down the coloring in the photos was grayish toned for some reason. We were missing all of the details we discussed for the front of the cake like the heart with I love u I know also written on our details contract from our booking! This was suppose to be a birch tree reveal cake with fondant just as the pulled back birch to reveal the photos there was buttercream slapped everywhere! This looked nothing like a birch tree! This cake was not what we discussed had a bad feeling something like this would happen when I reached out to Andrea for final details and it was very rushed I understand being busy but I am also a customer and this should not have happened on my...

Where do I even begin?! I’ve been getting my cakes from Carina Dolce since I had my first child — and now, six kids and 11 years later, it’s still my one and only go-to spot! When I was planning my first baby's birthday, I wanted a cake that would be memorable, something that would leave everyone talking — and boy, did Carina deliver.

Ever since then, for every birthday, every event, anything that even hints at needing a cake — I’m back at Carina Dolce. And not just any cake either — we're talking showstoppers. Cakes that have guests forgetting why they even came to the party in the first place!

Now, it’s a family tradition: my kids, myself, my friends, even extended family — if you need a cake that’s gonna turn heads and drop jaws, I’m your girl. I got the plug, LOL.

Carina, thank you for every beautiful, delicious, not-too-sweet cake over the years. You’ve been part of so many memories — from baby's first birthdays to grown-up celebrations where, let’s be honest, the cake still steals the show. Every time I post pictures, I get flooded with "Where did you get that cake?!" messages — and trust me, I don’t gatekeep! This place deserves all the recognition.
