Not a good experience at all. Ordered on the slice app. When you order on it you get a notification when the restaurant receives the order, one when the restaurant starts working on it (the app calls it "in the kitchen), and if you haven't done it yet, one when its ready for pickup. So, like I said I ordered on the app and got the first 2 notifications. Went to pick it up in the designated time-frame, and when I give my name, the waitress/counter person seems confused. She goes to the computer, and then walks over and puts a cheese pizza in the oven (which is what I ordered). At this point, I figured it was mine and they it just went in, but she didn't bother to say anything or apologize. Mind you, the phone didn't ring while I was there, nobody came to pick up an order while I was there, and no delivery driver left when I was there, so its not like they were busy.
I had heard good things, so I let it go. During this time despite they're being a couple of cooks, she's the only one that checked on it, and after 20+ minutes I finally get my pizza and its burnt, and lacking much taste. The cheese and dough didn't taste completely fresh, but again with how burnt it was that may have been the issue. Slice always asks for feedback, and I give similar feedback to them. They apparently communicated to them and I was offered a free pizza but I had brought my order to eat at work, so I can't exactly go back and I'm not in the delivery range so that was out.
The fact they offered a freebie, earns them a 2nd star, but I will never go back and would tell...
Read moreI am pleased to say the pizza here has always been fine, I have no problem with the food itself. Unfortunately, I can’t say the same for the rude owner! I placed an order online for a small veggie pizza and a chicken bacon ranch wrap. The menu specifically says this wrap is made with grilled chicken. I still specifically asked for grilled chicken in the “special instructions” section of the order.
I received what looked like a frozen chicken patty in my wrap…… I returned to the store only to find the owner blaming me for not specifying grilled chicken (I feel I shouldn’t have to bc that is what your menu says?!?!
Now, the young man and women behind the counter were very nice and replaced me wrap with I was perfectly fine with. As I was handed my correct wrap the owner again continued to tell me I was wrong and the print out they get doesn’t include “special instructions” on them…. That makes absolutely no sense to me. He was basically blaming me for his dated ticket machine……
I suggest the owner actually go onto his website and maybe read the actual menu, so he will be better informed of his products!
After 20 years of being a patron to this establishment, I sadly will not be returning due to...
Read moreI recently went to Pizza Palace, hoping to enjoy their famous Philly cheese steak and have a great time. However, my visit didn't turn out as expected, and it was just okay.
The food, including the Philly cheese steak, was alright, but it didn't impress me much. The flavors were okay, but nothing stood out as extraordinary. It was just a regular meal without any special taste that I was hoping for.
The restaurant's atmosphere was not very good. It didn't feel welcoming or cozy. The lighting was dim, and the decor was not interesting. I wished it was more enjoyable to be there while eating.
Pizza Palace might not be the best place to take kids. It was not very spacious, and there were no activities for children. Families might find it a bit difficult to have a pleasant time with their kids there.
The service was decent, though. The staff was polite and quick to help.
Overall, Pizza Palace is an okay choice if you're nearby and looking for a simple place to eat. However, if you want a special dining experience or a family-friendly restaurant, there are probably better...
