Father & Son Deli — Restaurant in Johnston

So, I have been a loyal customer there for a while now but this experience really turned me off. We normally make a lunch order, two or three sandwiches, but this experience wasn't as pleasant. Today I went in and I had to pay for three items seperately and I got nothing but attitude and rudeness. The "owner" said to me "are you serious?" when I asked to ring separately. I do understand that credit companies charge per transaction but I've never been told so rudely. The "owner" felt the need to harass me about how he's getting charged per transaction and told me "he can do whatever he wants since it's his store". So, I paid for the sandwiches that were not mine and told him I don't want my sandwich and he told me "Good, I am losing business on customers like you..." Now, I am not in customer service but.. Love this family owned deli! The prepared food dishes are traditional deli fare but also deliciously prepared authentic Italian dishes. So far some of my favorites are broccoli rabe, stuffed red bell peppers, veal and peas with mushrooms, lasagna, and orzo salad. I have experienced the traditional italian grinder on a hard roll, all I can say is perfect and very fresh deli meats. All food dishes are made there from scratch with fresh ingredients! Boars Head brand deli meats and cheeses are used in their deli sandwiches and prepared foods/salads! Much more than I can express here. Pleasant people, great customer service, fantastic food...makes me want to head out and plug them...

If you haven't visited this deli yet then you need to, I have always driven past this spot and had said maybe next time, or I just had lunch or any other excuse. Im glad I finally did and have to say that it was definitely worth the wait and the sandwich was delicious. I ended up getting the marinated pork with rabe and the bread was on point, it had a good crisp and it was good. They had many other delicious food items, daily specials and other tasty homemade food items. Come and check...
