Wendy's — Restaurant in Crescent City

Got one of their "Bacon, Egg &e " Swiss Croissants" today. What a joke! Just for fun I decided to compare what Wendy's shows on their website what it's supposed to look like versus what you get.

Pretty much needless to say, there ain't much in the way of similarity.

Granted, I "deconstructed" it see exactly what was on there. First, the "croissant" is nothing but a couple of pieces of bread. Second, the croissant they show is much higher (as bread should be) than what you get; the actual croissant looks like it was smashed in a George Foreman grill. Third, the egg in the ad picture is nicely shaped, with the yolk clearly visible around the entire fried egg. In actuality the yolk is small, misshapen and clearly off to one side. There's no way you are getting a bit of yolk in every bite.

I did this for pure fun. It's a sad commentary on fast-food restaurants that what you get looks nothing like what is advertised. And Wendy's isn't the only chain guilty of this misleading advertising (although I cannot say the same for McD as I NEVER go to a McD, and have not for years now).

No wonder Wendy's has coupons for these - apparently they cannot sell them at...

First let me say, I used to LOVE Wendy's. My experiences in the last couple of years have completely changed that. Wendy's used to be the fast food place that you could get GOOD FOOD FAST. Well now all I can get is SLOW DISAPPOINTMENT IN A BAG. The employees rarely get your order right . The line is always wrapped all the way around the store which you may say is a sign of quality or popularity ?! Nope it just happens to be THE ONLY fast food place in town. The prices have gotten higher and the portions have gotten smaller like really ridiculously small. My 2 yr old doesn't even get full off of 4pc nuggets and fries. They just are not the same WENDYS with the same customer service and quality values as it once was. The salads are always wilted and did I mention small ? Again small !! 3 times I have ordered chicken sandwiches original not spicy. And EVERY TIME they have made it spicy. Like it's a joke . And never offer to correct it when I call. I'm done! Screw WENDY'S. I'll drive 20 miles to get...

Its a tossup on whether or not the person taking orders is high on pills. 9/10 times they give you the wrong order, then cop an attitude when you bring it back, i usually order the same thing every time, and its always made different. Since its the only fast food in town they think that they are in control, because where else are we going to go? They cant handle more than 2 customers at a time, even when they have a full crew. They are some of the laziest nonworking people i ever saw, always high and drunk. If you look closely through the first drive thru window that they dont use, you can clearly see a trash can filled with beer cans and liquor bottles. Quite a few times i have given money to someone who clearly had powder on their nose. Hygiene is nonexistent here as well. Several of the employees have hepatitis yet they dont even wash their hands.
