We stopped by to grab a quick take out dinner and wished we took the opportunity to.dine in.
Menu seems eclectic but not too expensive. I got the market salad. My wife got the corn in a cup (elote) and birra steak tacos and we got a chicken sandwich for my daughter.
The food was all very good. Salad hit the spot with salmon, quinoa, spinach, apple.slices, pecans and diced beets topped.with balsamic vinaigrette. Everything was portioned well and the salad.was.perfectly balanced. Not too much of one ingredient or too little of another. Very refreshing!
The birra tacos looked incredible and my wife thoroughly enjoyed them . The shell and sauce were spot on and meatbwas tender and well seasoned, I enjoyed the one bite I got of the tacos.
My wife also thoroughly enjoyed the corn. It looked great but is was gone before I knew it.
My daughters chicken sandwich was good but she took the birra.sauce and poured that on the sandwich and fries and it was so much better!
Prices are extremely reasonable and we felt we got a very good value for the cost.
Service qas great. When we were there the young sons of the owner were manning the counter but they all were clearly invested and passionate about the restaurant. They asked us questions about what we liked to eat, the provided recommendations and each had big smile. Their pride was evident and yiu could not help but get caught up in their exuberance.
Atmosphere is casual. The place is very clean and organized and they did provide table service. Somehow we didn't see the outdoor patio but would have loved to had our meal on the patio.
All the food sounded good and the items we ordered were very good. Given everything that went right we will be back!!!
Sorry no pictures food disappeared before I thought to...
Read moreWent to Urban Kitchen for the first time last night (5/23/25) and it certainly won't be the last. The service was excellent starting at the counter, food was clearly fresh, well prepared and presented and delivered to our table quickly.
I had the French Dip and the Prime Rib on it was well seasoned, hot, appeared freshly carved and absolutely delicious on the made from scratch french roll. It was also a surprisingly large sandwich with plenty of au jus and a large serving of fresh fries. I'd swear that those fries were cooked in beef tallow and they had a nice crispness and excellent taste to them.
Girlfriend tried the Cuban, and her eyes lit up on the first bite. She thinks it's the best Cuban sandwich she's ever had, it came with home made pickles and freshly baked bread also with a large serving of fries.
Girlfriend also had a daiquri which presented really well and tasted great with just the right amount of coconut and alcohol.
On the way out I commented on the high quality and taste of our food and received a well delivered response of "so we'll see you tomorrow again!" along with a friendly fist-bump.
Urban Kitchen may be a little difficult to get to, due to traffic and location but I promise you it's well worth it. Will definitely be a repeat customer and look forward to trying other things on their...
Read moreNever got the bat off my shoulder. I walked into the restaurant and noticed only two tables of customers. There was what looked like a server talking to a table. He walked up to me and told me to sit anywhere. I chose a high top at the back where there was TV before I sat down he said “you can’t sit there” and told me it was reserved for groups of six. Mind you the place was empty and there were multiple large tables. He was extremely rude and condescending. I sat at small table and waited for my wife to arrive. For the next 5 minutes the server/cook/irritated man (may have been the manager or owner) stomped around the restaurant. At this point I decided to check check reviews on the restaurant. A couple of minutes later the guy says “ sorry bud I have no food to cook today.” I can’t say I was disappointed so I got up and proceeded to leave. As I left he commented “ I had a hard day.” This was the most uncomfortable experience I ever had in a restaurant. After reading reviews, it looks like my experience was not far off. I unequivocally do not recommend...
