SHREE INDIAN CUISINE — Restaurant in Crest Hill

This was my 4th time ordering here but only the first time I have been able to get pictures of the food (as soon as we get home it gets scarfed down 😂) . The food is always 100/10 every time I’ve ordered, I’ve tried other Indian food but this is the best I’ve had by far. ive tried Palaak Paneer, Paneer Tikka Masala, Butter Chicken, lamb & vegetable samosas, vegetable pakora & onion pakora. All have been extremely flavorful & hot still once we make it home. (Pictured is paneer tikka masala, garlic naan, & onion pakora)

But honestly the reason for this review is the amazing customer service. Today I tried to order for takeout by phone but was placed on hold for a while . When I tried to hang up & call back , the line was busy. Every time I’ve ordered the staff has been extremely pleasant so I just decided to drive over & order in person . When I got there to order the man at the register (I believe he’s the owner) recognized my name/voice & apologized for the mishap , explaining what happened. He gave me a mango lassi free of charge for the inconvenience (which was absolutely delicious thank you again 🙏🏽) & after paying for my food I let him know I’d wait in my car until the 15-20 min estimate he gave was over. Not only was it less than 15 mins (like 12 or so) he even brought the food to my car ! I tried to tip but he wouldn’t allow it so next time I’ll definitely be dining in so I can give one .

I have been visiting Illinois from DC, and was deeply craving good Indian food. I am the level of foodie who will fly to Italy bc I live for a fresh-picked, real, Italian tomato. A food-loving friend recommended this place, which, I believe, just opened in the last few weeks. Had a mango lassi (house made, handmade yogurt with freshly peeled mangoes); garlic naan, which was just the right amount of crispy on the outside with that delectable layer of ooey, gooey, buttery, airy, lightness in the middle; samosas (on the house) that were hand created and delicious; and …(drumroll) …the chicken tikka masala- perfection! It tasted like they pureed fresh vine-picked tomatoes; the flavors of the curry were on point with that amazing build of spices and creaminess that only happens when a curry is done really well! The owner waited on us and treated us like family. I never leave restaurant reviews, but had to this time- can not recommend this hidden delight of a restaurant more! I hope they stay afloat! You HAVE to eat here man. This place is incredible. I have eaten from here twice (both ordered online). Both were phenomenal. This food is FLAVORFUL. It immerses your whole palette. Each texture is like a story, unraveling in my mouth. This food feeds my stomach, my heart, and soul. To eat food as good as this every day, I would be spoiled. Its filling and comforting, sometimes light and sometimes decadent. Always. Delicious. Whoever is in that building is healing people with food. I was so excited when I picked up my order tonight (a feast) that I almost cried. When I got home I was giddy. I couldn’t have unpacked the food faster. Or dug in quicker.

This food tastes like home. It might not taste like your home but boy is it absolutely freaking delicious. Please try it guys seriously its so good. I love food, food is one of my passions, and this place ranks HIGH for me. Im so full, I wish I could eat my whole meal again. That. Good.
