My Husband and I were suggested this Diner and decided to check it out. As we pulled up on a super rainy mid-day Sunday, we saw how BUSY it was. Thankfully we were only a party of 2 so our wait was no more than a couple minutes. We were seated promptly and given our menus. We had a wait before our waitress came by to take our drink orders and answer any questions- perhaps a good 10-15 mins.
Drinks: We requested their Bloody Mary and Sunrise Mimosa as well as coffee and water. The Mimosa was quite lovely, however both drinks tasted pretty virgin, not that we wanted super boozy, but there was no hint of alcohol whatsoever. My Bloody Mary tasted more like a thick juice, not spicy. Coffee wasn't anything special, but most diners don't have amazing coffee so I wasn't expecting anything here.
Food: Their menu was extensive as are all diners, they had gluten free/dairy free options which ROCKED! No GF bread however--not a deal breaker as I don't eat that anyway and they do not have GF pancakes, however there is a substitute - Potato Pancakes. I ordered a Veggie Egg White Omelette with feta instead of cheddar and bacon. For sides I requested pico de gallo with smashed avocado and greens instead of the toast and home fries. My husband ordered the Fresh Huevos Rancheros sans cheese/sour cream. He wanted tater tots, but from experience, most tater tots are mixed with flour. We had asked, aside from cross contamination with the fryer, if there was any way to see if they had flour, she was quite honest and said no one in the kitchen was going to check the bag and see if it did since they were so busy; he ordered home fries instead with a side of bacon. Food was served promptly. Taste was great and definitely more than enough food--we packed ours to go.
Ambiance: Locale was really nice and clean. Tons of people, but it wasn't overly loud where you couldn't hear each other speak. Waiters were working double time trying to get to every table and make sure things were going ok. Wished our waitress gave us a little more attention, but she was very apologetic and told us it was just soooo busy. We get it.
All in all, I do recommend this place for Brunch. It was pretty good and plenty of options for folks with allergies. For all that we ordered, it was about $48...
Read moreI ordered the corn beef hash with eggs and pancakes. The pancakes and eggs came with the meal. This is important information. I took two bites of the eggs, then one bite of the pancakes. They were fine. I took two bites of the corn beef hash, and immediately did not feel well. I ended up rushing to the bathroom and had to throw up. Someone was in the single stall so I had to throw up in an urinal. I was certain the corn beef hash was the problem. As I came out of the bathroom, my girlfriend suggested we leave since I wasn't feeling well. The waitress came over and said she would speak with her manager to rectify the problem. She came back shortly after saying they are remaking the food. I told the waitress I didn't want another order and instead we would take the check so we could leave since I wasn't feeling well. I also informed her that I threw up in the urinal so they could have their cleaning staff take care of it. I went outside to get some air because I was having trouble breathing. Come to find out, we were still charged for the pancakes, and eggs. Instead of comping the meal that literally made me sick after a couple bites, they removed the corn beef hash meal and then charged us for separate orders or pancakes and eggs which we did not take home. We ended up being charged more than what the meal actually cost. The diner made me pay extra for a meal that literally made me sick. This is the first time we've ever had a bad experience at this diner and the staff and management did not...
Read moreFirst off, this was my first time here. You might be thinking, '5 stars in every category, really', but I gotta say, for me, they earned it. My first impression was clean and I thought quite spacious. It was the little things, actually not little, but the ketchup bottles on the table we clean. Meaning no dried ketchup on the bottle or under the cap. Secondly, they have breakfast available all day long, and the syrup bottle on the table were also clean, with no leftover syrup on the sides and such. The service was very, very good. Our waiter was there just when we needed him and very accommodating. We ordered cheese sticks for an appetizer and had burgers and fries, not too fancy, right. The cheese sticks, I think there were a total of 8, arrived hot with sauce and were crisp and delicious. The 1/2 pound burgers were huge and fresh! Crisp lettuce, juicy tomato, fresh onions and actually cooked the way I ordered it, imagine that! The fries were the thicker cut style and the quantity was impressive. Bigger eaters will appreciate the portion sizes. I generally like Diners, but I think that I will be putting this place at the top of my list. Can't wait to try there breakfast. As far as first impressions, this place...
