Absolutely the worst Hibachi experience I have ever had. I'm completely disgusted right now. Decided to take the family out for a nice dinner tonight at the place that replaced Oyama. What a mistake this was. We started off the night by waiting in a cold hibachi room for 20 minutes with our jackets on. Next the waitress takes our drink order and takes another 10+ minutes to bring them only to forget mine. Next we order after sitting around for 10-15 more minutes. I was minutes away from walking out of the place. The waitress takes our orders.(noodles do not come included with hibachi at this place.. you have to pay $1 extra) We have to repeat the orders a few times before she walks away because she keeps forgetting what we are having. At this point I knew the night was going to be a mess. Sure enough the chef arrives and our meal orders are all mixed up with the family next to us. Everything gets straightened out and the chef begins to make our meals. (I'd like to mention again you do not get noodles with the hibachi meals or salads.) The chef is done cooking and we never got our appetizers. I mention something to the waitress. 20 minutes later still no appetizers. My wife and I never recieved the $1 noodles we ordered either. The owner or manager comes over and gets everything straightened out. I finally get noodles as I'm finishing my last piece of steak. She removed the appetizers from the bill and still brought them to us after we were done with dinner. From this point on the owner/manager is serving us and the waitress is not seen again. After the entire mess the original waitress comes over and stands at the table staring at us trying to fix this mess by creating small talk with my kids. It was very odd and after she was done talking she just stood there watching us finish our meal. The taste of the food was very bland. For such a beautifully remodelled restaurant I expected alot more. The place had alot of potential but between customer service and the terrible food I don't see 1st time customers returning. $105 to experience this. $39 hibachi meal and you don't get noodles unless you pay extra. Definitely wont...
Read moreI can only review the sushi because I didn't have the hibachi but it did smell nice and look decent. The decor was beautiful, modern and chic. I ordered the wild salmon salad, the greens were old and wilted, the salmon wasn't wild salmon which is fine, the sauce was a bit sweet. We also had the classic pad Thai with chicken, not authentic but pretty good, the chicken in the meal was breaded and fried then stir fried into the dish which was a little weird because it made it soggy and oily. We brought our son and a white rice and some streamed broccoli was $10 which seemed a little steep. We also had 3 traditional rolls which were ok, very tiny and very little filling (my end pieces on my eel cucumber roll were were p much empty). Then the green roll we ordered the brown rice had gone bad and we had to send back. The manager came and tried to see if wanted another roll instead which was nice but we were all set, she seemed annoyed. I never send food back usually and definitely felt bad. Afterwards we were unattended to for at least 20 minutes, finally we waved them down and gave them our card to pay. We still left a decent tip, nothing was egregiously terrible, we just might not choose to come back. Anyway they collected the receipt and then were a little more friendly while we were on our way out. Not a great...
Read moreMy family and I ate at this restaurant on Friday November 8th at one of the hibachi stations. Our chef was James and I was absolutely blown away at how energetic and inclusive he was. Most places I have been to have just gone through the motions they have been taught. But James made this dinner unique and special. After he threw the first egg in the air and cut it with his spatula, I joking said "can I try this at home?" Instead of saying 'oh yeah sure why not?' he actually invited me behind the table to try it myself right then and there. He put his hat on my head and tried to teach me how to spin the egg, flip it in the air with the spatula and then crack it with the spatula. He was also very funny throughout the rest of the cooking, especially with the sake. The food was delicious, not one of us had any complaints other than being stuffed. I'd definitely recommend this to friends and will eat here again when visiting my...
