Really disappointed. We pulled off the highway while traveling to Vermont and decided that gyros sounded like a quick and easy meal. Simple enough, we ordered two chicken gyros. The place was completely empty and we were instructed to wait outside and told that our food would be brought out. My dining companion and I sat outside and waited about a half hour for our food to arrive. Once it did, we looked at it and new we messed up. We should have just went to Burger King. The problem was not that it had absolutely no flavor, or that the fries were the cheapest fries you can offer, or even that they were cold. The problem was the chicken. It reminded me of high school cafeteria food. The meat was so processed it didn’t have any meat-like texture, it was spongy and had pockmarks. Prison quality food. Obviously they are serving the lowest, cheapest ingredients available and charging a pretty penny for it too. I was not expecting this to be the best gyro I’ve ever had, but I also was not expecting to pay $35+ for two gyros that would end up in the trash. If we hadn’t already waited 30 mins for our food and needed to get back on the road, I would have...
Read moreTonight I ordered take out. We ordered a gyro, hummus, fries, and oregano chicken. When I got home, the oregano chicken was missing. No big deal, I’ll just call back and see if I can pick up the chicken, right? Wrong. I called and the phone was ringing for several minutes, no voicemail or anything. Finally someone picked up and the man was ANGRY. “Can I help you???” So I told him we’re just missing part of our order, maybe the lady misunderstood me, but can I come pick it up. “No were closed.” Okay but did I get charged? That was my first time at Gyro love and certainly my last. The food that we did get was also not so good.. if that even matters. Not to mention, I tipped generously due to to everything going on...
Read moreGot delivery. The order was correct, hot, packaged neatly with nice presentation. My husband and son like their chicken gyros and fries. I ordered a full appetizer for myself as a dinner. The babaganoush was buttery and smokey, very good. The hummus was okay, fresh but a bit heavy on the tahini and could've used a squirt of lemon on the side. The falafel was okay also, i ate it, but a bit dry. Grape leaves were fine, but I wonder if house made. The bread was a real disappointment for me. I frequently make my own at home, have twice this past week; I felt these were stale unless they just make them hard and cracker-like in the center on purpose? I think they were stale, and I did not enjoy them. Sorry,...
