Second time here and I wasn’t as happy as the last time , first of all it was freezing in the place and when we asked to have it warmer the response was that’s the way it is. There was a hole in the floor under the table and the cold air from the basement was being blown up through the hole and freezing us out. The table they tried seating us at was in the back corner didnt have matching chairs it had a love seat that was 4” too short. We got a different table but they tried seating two other groups at that table and they both said they wouldn’t sit there . Don’t get the monte Cristi sliders for the price I expected a lot more I only order three of them and there wasn’t a most two pieces of lunch meat between the three of the sliders. Our waitress never came back after us ordering as someone else brought the food out , but no “ Can I get you anything else or can I refill your drink” she just came back with the checks. Also it’s 20 degrees outside and they had the door open for 10 minutes bringing in groceries???? Come on get your groceries in the morning not at 6:00 during the evening rush the other people had decent flatbreads though But I will...

Walked in with a baby in baby carrier. Woman behind bar that seemed like the owner immediately asked if we had reservations. It was 5:10 on a Tuesday. We said no but it was only two of us and baby. She said it was only bar seating. We said that was ok and asked for high chair. She said they didn’t have that type of thing there, and said it with an attitude. We said that’s ok and would pull up and extra chair to put him on. She said, I don’t feel comfortable with you doing that. I said, well it’s clear you don’t want children here. She said, well we just aren’t used to having children in our restaurant. I said, well I’ll be sure to post a review noting this and we will leave. She said, I’m sorry but we just don’t have those types of things in our establishment. I have never been in a restaurant like this. Early on a weeknight with a quiet baby. I’m appalled. I will never frequent this establishment. In an era where restaurants struggle, I do my best to go local. We went to cucina bella. Had a wonderful meal and they did have a high chair and were thrilled to accept our money and support...

Repeatedly disappointed by the service here. Stopped coming here because it was more of a "reservation only" place (we are more of a spontaneous "lets go grab a cocktail" kind of couple"). Made a reservation with a friend. After being there for 3 hours, we each only had 2 drinks and shared an appetizer. Although drinks and ap were good, service was (and consistently has been) pretty awful. Long wait times between check ins, had to call server back to complete the drink order (only took 2 out of 3 of our orders), and then almost an hour later we finally got our check from someone other than our server who checked on us. It's not a staffing issue, there were 2 bartenders (third staff member arrived later), they just don't seem to be attentive, nor do they seem to have customer service or time management skills.

We understand this is a "nice" cocktail bar, sure. But again, tonight our waiter/bartender was generally unfriendly and seem to be disinterested in anything customer related.

Such a shame, nice place, great concept, wish staff/service...

Good luck if you get seated in the back dining area which is really the kitchen and storage room. I’m shocked someone thought it was appropriate to add tables here. It’s an open kitchen in the back with no noise or smoke control. There’s also just random things stored out in the open which made it unenjoyable. Throughout the dinner there were extremely loud clattering dishes from the kitchen where I jumped in my seat multiple times and smoke filled the entire room to the point that the four other tables were making comments. It doesn’t seem food safe not having a proper kitchen ventilation system. It was also so hot to the point that we finished the meal early because it was uncomfortable. There were also so many flies around us. The meat entrees we got were dry and my avocado was hard. The service was great and our waitress was really kind. The front of the restaurant looks beautiful and less loud. But unfortunately we will not be coming back here. Such an unenjoyable experience that I haven’t dealt with in years.

Excellent drinks and dessert on an early Monday night, for an impromptu birthday get together. Staff were friendly and helpful. Whiskey flight was delightful, and we enjoyed the variety of domestic and international wines. Small plate pork carnitas and steak flatbread were very rich, a bit oil-heavy for my taste but my companion had no complaints. Apple pastry tasted heavenly and owner took it off the bill for the birthday boy. Limited seating in a historic building, only one bathroom and parking is very limited- across highway 14 or side street parking. Will come again! Recommend for adults, groups or singles, due to fun bar atmosphere and mostly high top seating, plus the eclectic small plates will likely appeal to more adult palates. EDIT: Returned for a second visit, everything was back in stock/back on menu this time, and chicken flatbread as well as the striped bass with rice was delicious. Upping to five stars.

Visited for lunch and enjoyed the leisurely, relaxed vibe. It was perfect for a catch-up with a friend; we didn't feel rushed at all. Great selection of wines and small plates — my friend enjoyed the Breaking Bread orange wine but had a hard time deciding! We felt the same way about the menu and will have to come back to try some of the other interesting dishes. The baked goat cheese, summer melon salad (special), and citrus chicken salad were all delicious and great for sharing. We subbed salmon for chicken since there wasn't any chicken prepped for lunch service; it was a smidge overdone but still great with the rest of the salad, which was full-sized and not a small plate like the melon salad special. Overall, looking forward to returning!
