My boyfriend and daughter went to pick up the food we ordered. They forgot to give us our drinks. Luckily my daughter noticed before they left. Upon arriving home with the food I took notice to the fact that we were missing several items ordered. Also missing was the fajita shells for the fajitas. I called the restaurant. The man that picked up couldn't understand my issues at first ( language barrier) when he finally did he informationed me that 2 of the missing items where not even available....so why wouldn't you tell us that at pick-up? He asked us to drive back for the shells but that he couldn't offer me a refund for the other items. I would have to wait for the manager. SERIOUSLY NO ONE wants to drive back to pick up shells. He told me the manager would call that never happened. My boyfriend called back and spoke to the so called owner Miguel. He also gave us the run around kept speaking over my boyfriend and such. He wasn't really that interested in our issues. He stated he would call the next day after he " Reviewed" everything... Well that was a couple weeks ago now and no call. Now to the food it was poorly packed, the rice was crumbly and dry, the meat was severally overcooked. So I am going to say pass this place by. No care for the food or...
Read moreI ordered a taco salad with NO RICE!!! When I got home to eat, it had RICE!!! I called to get the situation rectified the person that answered the phone apologized but then hung up on me. I called back and they just held the phone and wouldn't speak although I could hear clear talking in the back ground. They held the phone until I hung up. I tried to call back and they took the phone off the hook. I've been here many times and have never had an issue. I feel that they owe me a replacement for I couldn't eat the food because of the rice!!! I will try to reach someone in the morning because they are closed now. If not compensated for the mistake I won't be returning and will tell others not to as well. Hopefully they will do the right thing because tonight was totally and completely wrong!!! Day after update: I went back around the same time as the night before and spoke with the cashier about my issue. My name was on a list of refunds/replacements. Read moreWe get El Taco Riendo Express all the time - it might be a weekly thing at this point, often enough that in my house it's known as "El Taco". I went to the original location for years (in my opinion, some of the best Tortas in the state of Minnesota) and was thrilled when they opened one my desolate corner of the twin cities.
I've never had an order wrong or a missing ingredient - I often go for the Platillo Cambinado, the aforementioned Torta (the Cubano is a massive, indulgent sandwich that - as with the original location - is one of the best of this style in the cities), Enchiladas de Mole - if there's a bad item on the menu I haven't found it yet.
To the guy below me who ordered fajitas and tried to do a 50/50 split of chicken and beef - what? That's not on the menu. You're not Brad Pitt, and it's a massive menu - just order what's on the menu. If you order off menu and it costs an extra $5, and that causes you to swear off a restaurant entirely (and trash them on Google) - maybe you're not an "order off the menu"...
