THE WORST, THE GREETER (20's bleach blonde with spiral perm) WAS SO IMPERTINENT & HATEFUL IT WAS UNBELIEVABLE!!! Upon entering, the greeter ignored us while one customer, who was previously there, picked up their to-go order and then left. Afterward, two more customers came for to-go orders & left before she finally said, "Can I help you?" I could understand this if they were busy, but there were only five tables occupied counting us. We said, "we'd like to dine in," & she said, "Follow me, leaving us behind." As we approached our table, she was already walking back toward the front & said, "Your waitress will be with you in a moment." They were out of several items we tried to order. Finally, we asked about a family meal & were told we couldn't order that for dine-in. It was for to-go only! We weren't given any bread with our brisket & pulled pork either. While we were paying (we left the standard 25% tip) & leaving, we stopped to buy the shirts that we had inquired about when we came in & stated we'd buy them on our way out. The same impertinent/hateful greeter again ignored me (my husband was outside on a call) while standing behind the payment/takeout counter piddling with stuff. Finally, she comes to the greeting counter (approximately 6 feet away) & hatefully asked "Can I help you?" I said, "I'd like to look at the shirts, please." She replies, "which one?" I said, "I'd like to look at them all." She again asked, in an escalated voice, "WHICH ONE?" in a more hateful tone than previously. I escalated my voice & said, "ALL of them." I pointed to the first one behind the glass that I wanted to see. She pulled it out & began opening it. I told her, "You don't have to open it." She replies, "Yeah, I do they have stuff on the back!" I said,'Oh, then I'm glad I asked to look at them!" I reached out for it asking if I could see it & she replied, "NO" while pulling it away. I said, "Oh, cause of covid." She asked me what size I wanted. I again told her I wanted to look at others & pointed to another requesting to look at it. She repeated the same hateful mannerisms while talking to another worker, then asked me again which one I wanted. I said, "Let me get my husband (who was just outside of the door) so he can look & decide too." I motioned for him to come inside & she walked off to the other counter again, piddling while talking to our waitress. When my husband came in, she again ignored us for about 3 minutes while continuing her conversation with our waitress. Our waitress then asked us if we needed something else & I said, "we'd like to look at the shirts." The impertinent greeter returns to the shirt counter with an attitude still & says, "they're RIGHT HERE!" I said, "Well, I didn't know if I could touch them because I didn't want you to get upset again." She said impertinently, 'I CAN'T, I'M DONE" & walked off. Our waitress finished helping us while rude greeter was in the back mouthing to the other coworkers. I took the shirts home and washed them & the hems came out! The food wasn't bad but definitely wasn't good enough to put up with this degree of treatment. NEVER AGAIN! DENNIS WOULD BE SO...
Read moreI hate to leave a negative review for somewhere with such delicious food. But unfortunately, our experience isn't based on the food in this case. We visited Mo Hick around 7:00ish on 3/7/24, had a wonderful dinner. Our food was great, our waitress was friendly and helpful. After dinner we were trying to get out of their hair so they could get cleaned up and get ready for closing. On our way out, we noticed that the exterior lights that were on when we came in, were now turned off, though they were still open and still had other customers inside. We even commented how dark it was. As we are walking out the front entrance, not even 15 feet from the front door, my mother trips over a parking curb, which was not painted yellow, no reflective strip, nothing. My 65 year old mother fell to the ground to the wet pavement in pain. My sister immediately went inside for ice, the staff in front was slow to get it, but did eventually realize what was going on, and they grabbed the ice and came outside to check. The girls who came out were very friendly, trying to joke after seeing my mother was responsive. They quickly retreated back inside though. Did not offer much service other than the ice. My mother tripped over a curb that was not properly painted, in the dark. She broke her ankle, and bruised herself up pretty bad. The next day, I emailed MO Hick to let them know what had happened. Not to ask for anything, except for them to consider keeping their lights on until they close, because apparently, they knowingly turn them off close to closing time, to prevent others from coming inside, and to recommend painting their curbs safety yellow. This could have happened to someone much older and much more fragile. Instead, I got no response. And when my mother called and asked to speak to the manager, she was only met with complete disrespect and hatefulness. This is when they told her they purposely turn the lights off. And that they would be responding to my email. It is now 2 weeks later and we have not heard anything. Which is what is leading to my review. My family will not dine somewhere that does not care about their customers or about their safety & wellbeing. They lost an entire family...
Read moreAs a Chef for 22 years my husband and I love to travel the country and try new food establishments-especially BBQ! We decided to finally stop here after reading the reviews and seeing the 15+ billboards along i44. Let's get into it: Our appetizer was fried Oyster mushrooms which were an absolute delight! Wow, they were hands down the best part of the meal and something I will remember forever!
Unfortunately that's where the praise ends. We each got the sampler platter which comes with pulled pork, brisket, some ribs and two very small sides. The ribs were so DRY AND UNAPPETIZING! We didn't even eat them and hoped that by putting them in a Togo box smothered in sauce that perhaps it would be better somehow by morning lol. The pulled pork was okayish at best but nearly flavorless and the brisket was THE WORST! Holy cow, the brisket was bad! It wasn't even slices, it looked like they scraped and sifted the dry small bits from the hotel pans that they hold the actual whole brisket in for service.
Btw, the 19$ sampler platter gives you 3 ribs and maybe 4oz of pulled pork and brisket...MAYBE 4 oz
What kind of Barbeque place doesn't offer a baked potato? This one...
The sauces were the best part and quite frankly, that is sad for a place that refers to itself as "World's Best Barbeque" 😢. The macaroni and cheese had fake bacon bits on it and tasted out of a box. The mashed potatoes and gravy were delicious truthfully but overall, the meal and the 70$ wasn't matched up, I didn't even have a drink..
The service was trash and honestly we wondered if it was because we looked like we were from somewhere else. I didn't have a drink because the waitress literally never asked me if I wanted one. I received water while I was in the bathroom and that's it. We did buy some barbeque sauce on the way out, it's only 5.99$ a bottle and when we make delicious barbeque at home it'll be a nice acutremen.
We saw food coming out while we were paying the bill and it all looked the same, dry and unappetizing...a lot of older people were coming in to eat here so maybe they cater to that demographic? I'm not...
