Well this Macy's store is a nice grocery store. 1st time here was a couple of days ago. And I had to ask where a couple of things were. But the staff here was so rude and seemed lazy. With the exception of one young man. I think his name was Anthony. He was so helpful. And polite. As he was stocking shelves and rotating the stock. And very efficient I might add. Nicely dressed with a good attitude. And we'll groomed. While any of the other staff members there didn't seem to care or want to bother being helpful. I just moved to Cuba, MO. And I own a small construction company. And remodel mid-range and high end homes mostly. So shopping for my crew to stay healthy and hydrated is important to me and my company. And going through the store. I noticed that only the one young man happily working and rotating the stock. As I also noticed they were selling things that were out of Date. Like the cottage cheese. Which could have made me and my family and crew get sick if eaten. The young man stocking wasn't to this section yet. So at least someone was helpful and paying attention to this as he was the only one doing the job evedently. And when I get to the check out counter after shopping. The checkout folks weren't at all nice or helpful either. As it seemed most of the people there. Didn't even care how they dressed or acted towards their customers. Most of the staff there didn't seem to care about customer satisfaction. Or being helpful at all. Nor did they seem to have a good attitude about actually having a job. I went back to Macy's grocery store today. And the one young man with blond hair and glasses that was so helpful and nice. Wasn't there. And again. I had to ask for some directions as to where something was. And was greeted with yet again. An employee with a crap attitude. And so I ask where the nice blind haired young man was. And was given a nasty answer from the other employee. So my reason for the five star rating is based on the young man that knows how to treat people with respect and dignity. Other than that young man. I would have given your establishment only 3 stars. But If I come up here anymore . And your employees don't have a better attitude maybe I should just stop shopping here for my employees and my family. And my pets. Because only having one young man actually working hard who had a great attitude and was kind to others. That evedently isn't here when you should all really take notes from him. Isn't going to cut it. If you are going to keep your prices as high as they are. With your competitions prices much lower than yours are. So I shall say in final thoughts . The young man that was so helpful, nice, and thoughtful. As well as polite. The rest of your staff is in need of some dier training. As well as grooming and manners. I hope Macy's will do better with this. As I like the store. And the layout. Whom ever let that young man go is entirely an idiot. As the rest of the employees really need some training in manners and kindness. Please fix this issue. As he was your only savior to have any more of mine or my companies business. And thank you to the young man that was so helpful . You are a good young man. And seem to work hard. In regards . This is the reason I gave you a five star rating. Simply because you had one person out of the entire store working there that actually cared and was polite...
Read moreUnless you want to drive 20+ miles , Mace grocery and Save a lot are it for groceries in this town. Mace's has a bit of a small town feel . They offer basic groceries (Brand name as well as store brands), have a deli and a Pharmacy that offers delivery . We learned to be careful when shopping for groceries. Twice we found merchandise labeled invorrectly and Ilearned to always check expiration dates. While we're very happy with the Pharmacy and can usually get by with their grocery selection until it's time for a trip to Rolla or Sullivan , the Deli is the one section that brings my rating of this store way down . We picked up their 8 piece fried chicken offer several months ago. It was fresh, hot and came with plenty of sides for just a bit over $10.00. Imagine our surprise when we ordered the same Chicken offer and the same sides a week ago, paid $15.98 and ended up with dry chicken, 4 potato wedge that clearly had seen better days and 4 hard biscuits. I called to find out why I paid so much more, got less and if they were willing to fix the problem . I was told by someone named "Rock" that the sides were extra and that there was nothing else he could do. Since the prices are somewhat higher than the other grocery store we will be shopping there...
Read moreI recently shopped at Mace Supermarket in Cuba, MO, and had a very pleasant experience from start to finish. Right when I walked in, I noticed how clean and well-organized the store was, which made it easy to find what I was looking for. The aisles were wide and well-stocked, and they had a nice selection of fresh produce, meats, and bakery items—more than I expected for a smaller local market.
What stood out most was the friendly staff. An employee in the produce section noticed I was looking at the tomatoes and offered a few tips on which ones were best for what I needed, which was such a nice touch. At the checkout, the cashier was quick but personable, asking if I found everything okay and handling my groceries with care, even taking the time to bag my items neatly.
I was also impressed by the variety of products. They had everything from local brands to common national ones, and the prices were reasonable. It’s clear Mace’s is focused on customer service and quality, which makes it feel more like a community grocery store than just a place to grab groceries. I’ll definitely be back and would recommend it to anyone...
