The owner hosted a Car show with some collaborators in the area, I’m guessing to pull more business into the restaurant. I drove an hour out to hang out and try some of the food. The main lot was full, so I parked next door in the first 30 minutes I was there. I didn’t leave to go anywhere at that time at all. When I noticed a spot open up. I went to go pull my car into the main lot next to some friends that had gotten there earlier. When I pulled out of the neighboring lot. The owner blocked me from entering. No one else was denied entry but me. When i explained I was moving into the lot to pull next to friends and so I can eat the food I ordered next to my car I was given a nice “I don’t care, keep moving” I explained I was trying to pull into his lot after driving an hour and again was told “no you’re not allowed, keep going” I never cause problems at car shows or meets ever. And to be treated in such a way while you’re hosting a meet is absolutely ridiculous. I will never in my life pull up to a restaurant that put me out like that infront of a crowd of people for no reason at all. Owners attitude was extremely rude. Food seemed decent for the most part, but after that interaction I threw it out and kept going about my night. Thank you to the owner for showing the entire crowd his true attitude. I will never come back to this restaurant after being...
Read moreI am very fussy when it comes to Mexican food, having lived in the southwest for a number of years going back to when Mexican Restaurants didn't even exist in Rhode Island.
That being said, we really, really enjoyed El Rodeo. As we drove into the parking lot on a Saturday evening, it looked full so I assumed that we would have to wait to be seated, but since the restaurant is large, that was not a problem.
We all ordered margaritas and they were served in large stemmed glasses. They were delicious and surprisingly, the amount of ice in the glasses was not overwhelming as in some other restaurants, i.e. there was plenty of margarita in the glass.
The guacamole was fresh, tasty and not overprocessed, i.e. not mushy.
For dinner, I ordered the Combination 2 with chili relleno and chimichanga with shredded beef. Delicious!
The service was outstanding, especially considering how busy the restaurant was. Every employee that we dealt with, from the person that seated us, the waiter or the person clearing the table was friendly and welcoming. Our waiter checked on us now and then without being annoying.
We will definitely return to El Rodeo in the...
Read moreI’m leaving a one star just to help you improve and stay.. I will change to 5 stars when I give you another try if you improve your service. Please read carefully now, Food is amazing! Service is terrible, your restaurant is too big customers in different rooms and tables and your waitresses are wondering lost all over the place walking around without doing eyes contact with customers so if someone get a taco stuck in his throat it’s easier to call 911 to get a glass of water from waiting for your waitress to see him and get a glass of water. Let customers sit in the same room and when it gets filled open the other one so people can get better service. Waitresses work as a team serve all customers and all tables if you are passing near a table even if it’s not yours be sure to make eyes contact.. All for one and one for all to make the business successful and all of you...
