Oscar's Restaurant — Restaurant in Cumberland

I ate at Oscar's 2 weeks ago, got a Ceasar Salad, the lettuce was brown. The owner apologized. My husband and I went back again yesterday. We were seated. After about 10 minutes, the waitress took our order. Then another couple was seated next to us. I guess they are "regulars." The waitress knew them. They talked for a while and the waitress took their order. About 10 minutes later, that couple had their food. My husband and I sat there for 30 minutes waiting for our food. That's just bad business. I will say that the chicken fajita wrap that I ordered was absolutely the best wrap I have ever tasted. My husband got the roast beef sandwich with gravy. It had a funny taste but was edible. Our server was just as friendly as she could be. The restaurant was not crowded. There is no reason that 2 people who came in 10 minutes after me and my husband should have gotten their food 20 minutes before we got our food. There is just no excuse. It is not a good look.

We were in the Cumberland area for a funeral. Wanted to have the family together for one last meal after the service. I contacted Oscar's, a day or two prior, and asked if they could accommodate 25 people, They said "absolutely." When we arrived they already had us set up on the covered porch. Our waitress was wonderful! (I wish I could remember her name.) She did a fantastic job! She had our drinks ordered and out to us very quickly. She did have help when it came to bringing out the food and drinks, but she kept everything in order and no one had to wait for anything. The menu was so big it was hard to decided what to order. The food was amazing and everything was correct the first time. We loved being on the porch alone so we could all converse and not disrupt other customers. The only issue for the whole meal was that even though they had AC, it was a bit warm for everyone. But that was a minor thing. Place: Little hole in the wall. Only noticed it thanks to Google. Decided to try it due to limited options near the laundry. Very clean and welcoming atmosphere. Parking is plentiful considering this area 🤣 Service: 10/10 From the receptionist to the waitress. Food: I order the 32oz delmonico, wasn't necessarily among the best stakes I have eaten, two negatives i had with it which I hope could be improved on my next visit, the seasoning was burnt which caused bitter taste, am no expert chef but from my understanding it's caused by prolonged flaming, the other thing it's the exterior fat was unedible, felt like cartilage. Those aside it was very juicy and cooked to the temp I wanted. (Maybe next time I'll try it medium or medium rare) 7/10 Sides:10/10 From the salad to the baked sweet potato.

Overall the BEST food I had here, hope you guys keep in business for a long time and continue giving this great costumer service...
