Glad we gave Russo’s another chance after my wife did not have a great experience here a few years back. We’ve been back three times in the last year and each time Russo’s has provided an enjoyable dining experience for us. My wife and I like this restaurant for its food, delicious cocktails and good service. It's been a great ‘re-discovery’ for us and it has become our go-to restaurant when we want to have a really special dining experience. This isn't a place where you can just show up and find a table—it's popular, so reservations are really necessary to guarantee a spot to eat. The dishes we’ve had here are delicious and in just-right proportions. We've come here with just ourselves and once with friends and have not been disappointed. Our servers have also been an important part of our dining experience at Russo's. They've all been personable and attentive. Russo's has two places to dine that offer two completely different experiences: the main dining room and the Bacchus Room. The main dining room has a combination of booths and tables in a carpeted area, making for a quieter atmosphere. The Bacchus Room is more of a casual sports bar type of area. It is a simple area with bare floors, standard tables, TVs with sports games on them and a bar, but also with garage doors that can open up to a patio in nicer weather. Both areas now have the same menu. The most recent time we came we had to sit in the Bacchus Room because the main dining room was full and we could only get reservations for Bacchus. We still had excellent service and a tasty meal. Finally, we've really enjoyed the cocktails here, especially the martinis. Great espresso martini and the sour apple has become one of my favorites. Be prepared to pay a little more to eat here, as we have generally found entrees to be around $35 on up and cocktails were about $12, BUT...so worth it! We look forward to returning.

(9-2023 Update) What COVID? Russo's is back to its normal self. Workers, although some new, are doing well. Place can get bust around 7pm, so make a RESERVATION please. Chef is consistent & does a great job. (8-2022 Update) The place is back to near normal, with the newer workers. Ask for prices before you order anything special. Ask for John the bartender, he will make you the best drinks anywhere - a real Gray-Beard at work (*with utmost respect). (5-22 Update)- Russo's has lost some talent (Sheela, and perhaps others). Good/ tanlented People make Russo's. Hope to see some new/ good talent soon - did not see it today. Took away a star today. (3-22 Update)- Nice to see Russo's returning back to pre-COVID ambience. Prices seem a bit higher, but that's expected - thanks Brandon. <Previous Review>Russo's has survived the pandemic, and slowly returning back. Food + Margarita was good.. expensive, but worth it. Place is bigger than what you see from the street. Menu changes at times, but always good. Call ahead and make a reservation to play it safe. Well stocked bar, ask for your preferred drink, regardless if it is not on the menu. May 2023 -be at peace, Russo's is back to its full glory after the COVID fiasco...all is good here.

Food is a bit expensive, but very good. I ordered the scallops and shrimp fettucine and this was great. 2 people ordered the cavatelli with chicken and 1 other ordered the jambalaya. All were not bad but nothing above what I've had elsewhere. My gumbo was great. Just fyi, you only get 2 scallops with the scallop appetizer - for $20. Calamari rings were nice and thick. I'd rather have plain marinara to dip in. 3 of us had a mixed drink. With tip, our total for 4 was $290. We sat in the patio on a hot day and even though it was covered and fans were going, there was not much air movement, surprisingly. So a little warm. Also ambience of the parking lot is nothing special. Basically overlooks parking. Server very nice but was slow. I live about 35 min away and if I'm in the area, will likely come back

Update 2017... STILL in NE OH - if you want food with character, good atmosphere, and reliable N'awlins influence - go here, or get an rsvp in about 16.5 hrs and start driving... To the Nay-Sayers - if you wait till Sun or Mon and drop into the back - and expect them to cook off menu from the front restaurant - YOU ARE A MORON TO EXPECT THAT! At this level - food is prepared there, not at the food service - therefore - the bar isn't coming in early to prep just in case YOU stop in... OH YEAH - if you read a review by an anonymous google user who has amassed a couple reviews over the years - Well my response is always - grow some balls and post it under your own name - but you won't - as you cannot publicly stand behind your opinion?

They do it right, they care, and they have about 100 seats. If you expect to sit exactly at your prime time rsvp - can I suggest Applebees or even Chick-fil-a where you are likely 'that' important to be seated immediately upon arrival...... Keep your 'shut up and lets talk about ME' attitude anonymous next time.

2013 original post... In NE Oh - especially Akron/Canton - you not going to do better. Dave did his time in NOLA and it shows (and Amy runs the front). They both care and it shows. Don't get here often enough (have to pack a bag lunch for the trek from home), but look forward to it every time. Don't have specific recommendations, almost always order off the day menu (specials) or TRUST you server - they are not fresh, they are...

I’ve been here twice in the last couple of months. I would have to say this is one of my new favorite restaurants. It’s a little pricey but well worth it. They offer cajun and creole type foods that are amazing. Hard to find this kind of flavor in northeast Ohio. I had a Mojito which was quite delicious. My husband had a couple of martinis but they were a bit too sweet. One in particular the lemon drop was nasty. If you love Creole or teacher or a little bit of spice you Will love this place. The hostess is amazing. We thought we made a reservation online but apparently it had not been confirmed. When we got there she told us we were not on the list. We were disappointed but pleasant. The hostess was amazing and still fit us in even 15 minutes what we thought we had made our reservation time. Our waitress was quick and efficient. We could’ve used a few more glasses of water but we saw her running around like a mad woman trying to take care of everyone as best as she could. The second bar was understaffed but we didn’t have any problems getting our drinks pretty quickly. We had the cooked oysters, crab claws, the breaded fish appetizer, the apple salad, and the fish in a creole sauce. Everything was delicious. The crab claws were the only thing in my opinion that weren’t super exciting because they basically just steamed them and add a little side of mustard nothing fancy. Everything else was fancy well prepared and delicious. The apple salad...
