Yamato japanese steakhouse & sushi — Restaurant in Cynthiana

Kind of a strange environment for the type food advertised. Appears the building is an old Pizza Hut restaurant. I ordered a sushi plate (started eating before I remembered to take a pic so the pic is a partial of my meal!). My order included onion soup and a side salad, which I requested ranch dressing for. My dressing was forgotten after being told she'd bring it right back. My 3 friends finished their salads before I even started. Asked a couple of times before finally getting it! It was not worth the wait! Very watered down and just not that great! Soup was excellent as well as the sushi. Service was lacking and server seemed very unconcerned with getting items requested. 2 friends accident sent their forks back with their salad plates and were given plastic forks for their main course. If you are with in 2+ hours of this place est here, SERIOUSLY EAT HERE. This was my lunch granted I upgraded my $9.99 lunch to the seafood salad. Must eat here. The 9.99 should have been 14.99 or 19.99. I promise worth 2-3 hour drive. Fortunately it was 23 miles from my RV campsite. Are you still there? GO LEAVE NOW!!!! I don't care if you one state away north south east or west. If you want to see Blue Lick Battle field EAT HERE lunch or dinner worth more than they charge. My reviews I don't only complain, it is rare. Rock solid even their California roll great don't be afraid to add a roll for $10-12 dollars and tip 20% or more worth every dime. I live in Cynthiana and was excited to see a sushi steakhouse open locally. I was very disappointed in the service. I ordered a sushi appetizer, and was very surprised to see my soup and salad be served before the appetizer. And the soup was not the soup I ordered! Then my entree came and I still had not received my appetizer!! I bought this to the staff attention. They offered to take my entree to keep warm while my appetizer prepared!!! I asked them to take my appetizer off the bill and proceeded with entree. The entree was good but very disappointed in the missteps poor service. Will try again after they've been in biz a while and hope the kinks...
