This would be a 3.5 for me. I was actually looking forward to eating Duc Chuong in the same plaza but since they had closed early (8pm) for some odd reason, I settled for this it was conveniently right there!
It was about 8pm on a Monday night when we hesitantly walked in to thai establishments. I was in dire need of soup. The lady that took care of us was really nice, communicated well. We ordered eggrolls for apps, pho tai bo vien for me and a rice plate for the mister. I had asked for the eye-round beef to be on the side but it came overcooked it in my bowl of pho anyway. When food came out, everything was piping hot so that was a plus! However, they only provided me with bean sprouts, and no other herbs or veggies. I had to ask for it. Shouldnāt it be automatic? The pho broth was very dark in murky in color. Took a sip and wow.. it was super sweet! Usually I prefer my pho broth to be more on the savory side, maybe a little more salt. That was just odd. Didnāt taste bad but just not normal. The rice plate looks kind of bare. A few pieces of meat. The mister said it was really fatty. Like super fatty riblets. He also thought that was overly sweet. So at this point, we got our main dishes but not the eggrolls. Eggrolls came out maybe 15 mins later. Piping hot! I guess it was super fresh so I didnāt mind the wait. It was tasty. Lots of fillings and fresh herbs. However, the fish sauce was overly sweet yet again. I think this restaurant switched out the salt and replaced it with sugar?! lol who knows but yeah. Eggrolls were the best part. Very fresh and tasty. Not a bad place but itās not suitable for my taste bud. Iām not a sweet person and almost every dish we had, had a really...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI hardly ever do reviews because I work in the customer service industry and I know how One sided and misleading reviews can be. However, this restaurant deserves this review. Iād been to this place once before and the food was great as well as the customer service, so I decided to take my boyfriend and my sisters. We arrived pretty late (8:05) so I knew we wouldnāt be dining in which was fine. Upon walking in we were met with attitude and extremely poor customer service. We were all rushed to pick something off of the menu and then when we kindly asked for more fish sauce our waiter rolled his eyes and ignored us twice. We were bad mouth in front of our faces in another language. Iām not sure what was said but it doesnāt take a genius to realize an irritated tone and direct finger pointing. We wonāt be back. Iād rather spend my money...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreAmazing family owned restaurant. We come here all the time because it's so close by. There's lovely murals of vietnam decorating the interior, and there's a sweet fish tank. The interior is always immaculately clean and obviously well maintained. The owner and the servers are really friendly and service is super fast (pickup or dine-in, we've done both many times)!
Our favorite things to order are: cha gio, bun thit noung, com soun noung/ com bo noung/ com dac biet, com bo luc lac, pho tai, and of course bahn mi thit noung.
Everything i've had from this place has been delicious.
Also, something else I like about this place: when you order water they serve you glasses and a reasonably sized pitcher of ice cold water for you to refill your glass as you like.
Please try this place, you won't be...
