What has happened at this location? It's a mere shell of its former self...
I haven't been here in maybe 6 months and the quality has gone downhill. What used to be a loaded, hefty, and filling burger is now left spare and wanting.
I ordered the blue cheese bacon burger, add grilled mushrooms and a side of fried pickles.
A couple things, this location used to do pickle spears but now they are pickle chips and $2 more expensive. While you seem to get more chips, the fried pickle spears were amazing. Also, they used to come with buttermilk ranch but now you get a side of shelf stable, heavily preserved and generic industrial ranch dressing.
Absolutely disgusting. Please bring back the buttermilk ranch, it would have been the highlight of my meal.
The burger. Oh dear lord the burger. What a travesty this was. I've ALWAYS ordered the blue cheese bacon burger because the crumbles were plentiful, the bacon was copious and THICC. We're talking a pile of thick cut hickory smoked bacon atop your burger.
Sadly, that seems to not be the case. My burger came with 3 and a quarter slices of BURNT BACON. The blue cheese crumbles are now a smear of some barely recognizable gray matter.
Oh, AND they forgot the mushrooms!
If I wanted to pay $20 to be disappointed, I could have gone...
Read moreOkay, so I almost do not want to write this review but thought i need to, just to ensure great future customer service at this location. No doubt, my burger was a 5 star. The food was great but had a bad service. Ordered Mushroom burger on a wheat bun, kitchen staff made the burger on a white bun, before collecting my order, i had to confirm its really on a wheat bun by asking, the asian guy pointed at me and said “no it`s too late, you ordered a white bun cant change it. I told him i ordered wheat. So the staff that took my order initially, came around and rewrapped it and said “ ok, ok its on a wheat bun.” at this time i asked to check just to be sure, (was fooled)it was on a white bun!!! Heard one of the staff said “oh she does know the difference“. I was shocked and angry, honestly i would not believe that they would think i am a moron just because of the way I speak or act. Anyways I made it clear i am having my burger on a wheat bun. Not sure what was done but i got served in less than 2mins. I am pretty sure the staffs wont believe i will be writing a review. The food was 👍⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ but service was less than a⭐. Love this location but the service I got today is bad enough to take you out...
Read moreI actually live in uptown and have been to the one off lemmon ave and it doesn't come close to this location. The one on lemmon was good, don't get me wrong since I frigging love this place, but it was cheap on the lettuce, mushrooms and jalapenos. The one of walnut is perfection, in my book. I go to this one whenever I visit my parents house that's 5 minutes away. The Big Island Burger is absolutely fantastic. I love jalapenos, but my parents either order it with Light jalapenos, or none at all, and it's still great. Their fries are so stinking good, it's hard to keep a low carb diet. Their Chicken/Steak Philly's are quite delicious, especially with extra meat. You seriously cannot go wrong with any option on the menu.
All you low carb/gluten free people, this is one of the best burgers in dallas without the bun. I order the Big Island (sometimes a double), and take off the bun. No carbs at all, and you still get a fantastic and flavorful burger.
I don't care what anyone says, this place is damn near one of the best burgers in Dallas. And I love a good...
