My sister and I came here for breakfast, thinking we'd grab two tacos each. Completely overlooking the fact that everything says "burrito", we order two each: one barbacoa, one chorizo and egg. Whewwww. These bad boys are hefty, so you'd better be hungry if you order more than one per person. The tortillas are fresh and soft, the barbacoa was fatty and flavorful, and the chorizo was tasty and a little bit greasy (perfect). They also have a drive thru if you don't wanna have a seat inside (convenient if you need a variety of drinks from the store it shares the building with). The ladies working the kitchen were nice and very quick in their handiwork. Is it in the gas station corner store? Yes. Is it absolute delicious and filling? Yes again. Bonus points: the bathrooms of the store are super clean, I was shocked. It was nice, I'm just saying. I would absolutely recommend this spot for dank breakfast tacos - oops- I mean,...
Read moreI started coming to Montes Burritos in Dallas about a week ago, and it feels like I’ve been back every other day since. The burritos are incredible, and they make their tortillas fresh from scratch, which takes everything to another level.
The staff is amazing friendly, welcoming, and always ready with great recommendations. The place itself is clean and has a really comfortable vibe.
I usually go for the breakfast burrito, which is always on point, but today I tried the Carne Guisada burrito recommended by the staff member , and let me tell you it was delicious. It tasted like somebody’s abuela was in the kitchen, slow-cooking and stirring a pot with love. Absolutely delicious.
If you’re in Dallas and craving a great burrito, Montes is the spot. Prices can feel a little high for something simple like bacon, egg, and cheese, but honestly, the quality and experience make it worth it.
Thank you,...
Read moreToday was the second time we had their burritos and it confirmed my thoughts during my first visit--BEST BURRITOS IN DALLAS! In my experience, it is difficult to find really good burritos-especially in the north Dallas area, but this is a gem of a place! We drive from Plano just to get their burritos. Let me start by saying that their tortillas are the absolute best in town. Reminds me of the homemade tortillas I had growing up at my best friend's house. Next, they have really good hot (green) salsa--It's not just spicy, but has good flavor as well. Finally, there are so many choices--We always go for the Montes breakfast burritos and the ground beef burrito. The carne guisada is also a winner. In any event, if you want an authentic ingredients and taste at a reasonable price, do not pass up a chance to eat at Montes Burritos! You won't regret it....
