Quite possibly the worst pizza I've ever tried. Groupon strikes again.
The pizza was thrice the price, but substantially lower quality than Little Caesar's. Digiorno is better. Great Value Wal-Mart brand pizza is better. Hell, 7/11 $5 pizza is probably better. The toppings were skimped, the crust was cardboard, the sauce was very, very watered down ketchup, and the cheese was, without question, the cheapest crap you can buy at Restaurant Depot.
The Cheesy Garlic Bread was a 5-inch french bread loaf, cut in half, with white American Cheese melted over the blandest garlic butter I've ever tasted.
I asked for thick crust, they sent me thin crust. I asked for extra sauce. lol. I took a picture of the sauce level. I may actually upload it tomorrow if I feel like dealing with it. They seriously couldn't have used more than 1 tablespoon of sauce for the entire pizza. I'm not even joking.
I spent $11 at Groupon for One Large Pizza, One Cheesy Garlic Bread, and One 2 liter of Root Beer. I went ahead and purchased an additional Large Pizza just to give them some money and to enhance the variety of their pizza for my family and me to sample. Boy, was that a mistake.
Don't bother. Just go to 7/11 and grab a $5 gas station pizza. I'm not...
Read moreRalph's Pizza is the best in Carrollton by the slice. And when I say 'slice', I mean BIG slices!
3 slices of Ralph's pizza, prepared specifically to be sold over the counter by the slice, nearly fills a typical medium pizza box from one of the big American chains.
Ralph's is no chain. In fact, to my knowledge they're exclusively original. There's only one, their family owned and operated location in Carrollton, which is reminiscent of the many similarly-styled mom and pop pizzerias found on every other city block throughout New Jersey.
Entirely authentic, delicious tasting goodness sold in enormous portions at a fair price. What's not to like?
So the next time you treat your family to pizza night, do yourself a favor and try something different. Save the same old boring mass-produced pizza for when you're not going to be around to eat any of it yourself.
There's a general rule of thumb for pizza that goes something like this: if you remember seeing the company's logo on a hotel room key card, it's probably not the best tasting choice for a place to eat.
Try Ralph's Pizza instead. I think you'll be...
Read moreJust ordered. Gentleman on the phone who took my order, very respectful, calm and patient as this was my first time. Process was seamless, food was hot and fresh (something hard for most franchises to do nowadays apparently), arrived promptly and within 30 minutes (no weird corporate gimmicks like the others). Even their delivery guy was polite. I give almost everyone 16-18% unless bad service is at the start of it all. This time I was happy to do it, as it was well deserved. Nevermind their convenience and delivery fees are absolutely far more reasonable than the chains with less-than-stellar service. Wish I took a photo but was so hungry I tore into it the moment I bid the driver a good day. Quality is A1 here and it's nice to see some individuals still believe in that. Try for yourself. The reviews...
