Looking to spend some extra time with my boy, this past weekend, I decided that we would try one of the places to eat nearby our new home. Shadyâs Burgers and Brewhaha seemed to be a decent place to eat since they were usually busy. Within two minutes we were being served and I was reviewing a menu that I had to access via QR code (clean!). I ordered the New Pig on the Block, a Caramel Pretzel Shake, and a half-side of Onion Rings.
The shake was unimpressive. It didnât actually taste like anything. Maybe the combination of pretzel, caramel, and vanilla all cancels each other out but I didnât taste anything. The texture was great, though.
The onion rings suffered a similar affliction: They had perfect texture and I could tell by looking at them that they had seasonings on them, but they didnât taste like anything, really. They had flavor, but it wasnât too prevalent nor was it bad or good, it just was.
The bun on the burger was very good! It stood well against the juices of the rest of the sandwich which included the juicy but not rubbery bacon. The lettuce was extremely good and had the most flavor out of anything. The BBQ pork had some flavor, but it was barely there. The patty was cooked exactly to my specifications and it was pressed on the grill with a nice sear.
If I had to offer any advice to the folks at Shadyâs, it would be to add more flavor to everything. They did everything well, but none of their food tasted like anything. Adding flavor would help them stand out in a crowded field where several restaurants do everything Shadyâs does but better.
I canât recommend this place to anyone unless you just need a restaurant which focuses on being a clean and safe family gathering. Their focus on customer service and cleanliness is a welcome sight but their food leaves the taste buds wanting. 3/5

Read moreAbsolutely terrible service. Our waitress came and got our drink orders, some were bar orders, some were not. Well after the bar orders arrived the teas and waters did. We ordered an appetizer and no one brought us any type of appetizer plates or silverware. Then the food came. Well, most of the food. 5 of our 6 entrees arrived. We told the guy who delivered our food that we were missing a meal. Our actual waitress never came by. I had to go flag her down while she was putting in another order. I told her were were missing a meal. Someone working the line asked what we were missing and I told her we were missing The Original. She said it was 6 tickets down the line. I asked how that one meal got 6 tickets down the line when the rest of us had our food? So she looked at the tickets and someone else asked what was going on. She said "she's missing her food, so she is freaking out". I absolutely was NOT freaking out. I didn't even get mad until that point. So, I told her "No, all of our food was ordered at the same time and all of it was for dine in". Finally they just took the order for what was missing and told me they would have it out. It finally came out and our waitress brought it over. She apologized and said they would take it off the ticket. And then she disappeared again, til I had to flag her down again to get our bill so we could leave. No one ever checked on us to see if we needed refills or anything unless I waived her over. Our table was kind of off to the side and in a corner so I think she kept forgetting we were there. I wasn't even upset that she didn't put in one of her meals, but for the person working the food expo to basically blame me for our missing food was unacceptable. I won't...
Read moreWhatever you do don't order for pickup! I had a large order for pickup. She calls out my order I trust she checked it. I agree and I walk out. On the way home I decide to check the bag and realized I was missing an order of fries so I called them and they handled it well by saying they will have an order waiting for me. Mistakes happen and I thought they handled well at first.
However the way they handled it when I got there wasn't good.
When I get there the lady says "are you the guy that was missing the fries. I looked at your ticket and noticed you had only one order of fries" I told her that I looked at my ticket and I paid for 2 orders. And that's why I came in. The other lady walked by and pointed to the ticket and "she continued said I just looked at it, hmm,ok. It's neither here nor there"
I felt like she wasn't accepting that she or someone made a mistake by accusing me and telling me I had one order.
From a customer service standpoint what she said wasn't even needed. Why would I inconviently call you, drive back to get an extra order of fries from you if I hadn't ordered one?
Receipt to prove I order 2 orders. She made me feel like I was lying or a thief. Even though they made the mistake. Many burger joints out there I will take my money else...
