Recently moved around here and was looking for a tortilleria near by. This is not super close but it is the nearest one to me so I decided to try it. We’ve bought tortillas a few times, and while I always have to toss away a few because they fall apart, most are fine and the taste is great. Today, we decided to give the food a chance. I sent my partner to buy a pound and a half of carnitas. When he returned, the food was very dry, I figured I’d reheat them in the pan since pork tends to release grease anyways when warmed up. But when I put them on the pan, they made my whole house smell like dirty, wet dog. The carne was obviously old. I also realized that they gave us a bunch of inedible skin and a HUGE bone. We had about half pound of meat. I called to let them know, and the cashier gave me the option of a refund or exchange. I chose refund because I didn’t want to get old, nasty meat again. However, right before she refunded me, the owner decided I needed to bring in the plate back immediately, before they could do anything to help. The owner’s customer service is just as bad as her establishments’ food. Not only did I have to waste gas returning it, but I am left with a rancid, putrid smell in my house and in my car. But it seems I’m not the only one this has happened to according to the reviews, it’s normal for them to sell days old, stale food.

I just ordered six chicken, six pork and six cheese tamales and they are amazing. I can’t believe I’ve been living this close and never knew this place was here. I will definitely be ordering again. I would like to try the menudo next. Very nice ladies that work in the front with beautiful smiles on their faces. Just made my day. Can’t wait to come back.

Don't know if my expectations were too high but the tamales were really over granulated too much corn didn't taste well broke all apart in too many pieces before even eating. They were either old or bad to the point where taking them out of the shell they will crumble up and break.

I came in for the tamales but they fell short. When I got them they were really hot and made my car smell good. Unfortunately when I got home and tried them they were not what I was expecting. They crumbled when I tried picking them up and by crumbling I mean some totally fell apart. The masa itself lacked a little flavor. The meat was good but it was mushy. They also had a lot of masa. I did really enjoy the green salsa...

Very disappointed w/a recent purchase here. Went at 4:30 pm & ordered a dozen of šŸ·šŸ½šŸ– tamales. They were šŸ”„ but once I got home & tasted them, I could tell they were day old tamales!! Masa stuck to the husk. Meat filling was crunchy from over heating in MICROWAVE! 😱 Shame on y'all. We are paying for FRESH TAMALES! NOT DAY OLD TAMALES! Trying to pull a fast ONE ā€¼ļø NOT...
