Ordered a Caesar salad and it was so nasty I had to write a review about it. It was wet, limp, some of the lettuce was brown. It consisted of romaine, some kind of powder which I think was suppose to be parmesan, and cucumbers. WHAT KIND OF CAESAR SALAD IS THAT? It’s not! That’s not the recipe for a Caesar Salad… It was thrown out. Plus my son’s chicken tenders were all sketchy looking. 3 of them were burnt and hard and the 4th looked like it came from Burger King. It was a whole different brand of chicken tender. This was the sketchiest order ever. Would not recommend.

I always always always stop in here when I’m in York to pick up a large cheese. The pizza is always solid which I appreciate. It’s kind of a no frills joint with a lot of Italian options. The service is fast and the staff is always pretty pleasant

Their restaurant is cute inside and the food is delicious. Chicken finger salad, cheeseburger sub, fries, and white pizza are all really tasty. Always friendly staff too. And check out their gorgeous begonia in their store front area! 😍

I have never written a review about any business until today. If management is reading this, please listen. Im not here to complain, but to state facts and help your business back to where it once was. Please note this as a chance for new life within your establishment.

For starters, when I first moved to Dallastown this was my GO TO place! I would eat here multiple times a week. Always had a pleasant experience, for a long time. Then in the first month or two of 2017, things changed.

My order started being consistently mediocre at best on many levels. On many occasions my order wouldn't be ready until 30 mins after the time I was given over the phone. My food started to decline in quality as if the love that was once put into my order was no longer there. I would order something with no onions, or extra lettuce, or no cheese etc. and my requests would seem to be completely ignored as if the ticket was merely glanced at for reference. I started to become upset as this grew in frequency until it became an EVERY TIME THING!

There was a week a few months into this charade that I ordered extra lettuce on a sub on three different days. Day 1 I ordered extra lettuce, there was no lettuce what so ever. Day 2 I ordered double lettuce, it looked as if the lightly sprinkled it on my sub. Day 3 I ordered triple lettuce as a cry for attention to my request, it looked as if the lettuce was treated like seasoning my sub with oregano (salt bae style). For me that was the final straw.

From there on out I would only occasionally order a pizza. But even that came to halt. It seemed as if the son of the owners wasn't personally making my pizza then the order would be wrong, undercooked, and/or sloppily prepared. On my last visit before today, cheese had slid to 2/3s of the pizza. The rest was just undercooked dough and sauce. I was DONE! Still, I chose to let it go and move on. Like I said, at one point this was the only place I would order from. It was sad to watch my favorite place begin to crumble.

Now that we have the backstory out of the way, let's talk about today...

I got home from a longgg day at work. I said to myself, it's been awhile. Maybe things will be back to normal at Romas. I decided to give it one more go. When I placed my order I was told 30-35 mins. I arrived at 35 mins. I was told my order was not ready. Not a problem, it's a friday, you're busy, understandable. After standing there for 25 more minutes my order was finally "ready". It was a bag off the shelf that had been sitting there for 15 mins!!! My sub, soggy. My fries, cold. So now, here we are. My favorite pizza shop, in ruins.

Now I tell you all of this out of respect for the place I once loved. I spent 10 years working in food service, 5 of those years were in a pizza shop. So please note, this detailed review is coming from someone who understands what it's like on the other side of the counter. I know how busy it can get. I know people are human and mistakes get made. I know accidents happen. But when it becomes a consistent issue, you have to question whether the people preparing your food even care about the quality of the product they are serving you. I wish you guys the best and hope things return to the Romas I once knew.

Warmest Regards, Your Neighbor

PS: When people pay for their order, you should have your cashier write "Paid" on the receipt. We had a similar issue with food not being handed out when it was finished being prepared when I used to work in a pizza shop. This wasn't much of a burden to our cashier and it resolved the issue entirely. Just some food for thought....

I'm not sure what happened to this restaurant. It used to be one of our favorites. We have ordered from here so many times over the last 19yrs. However, the last 3-4 times have been so horrible, hence the time between orders. Tonight, after a long exhausting day at work, I decided to order from Roma's hoping things had gotten better. I ordered my chopped cheesesteak PLAIN, just meat and cheese NO SAUCE OR ONIONS. I do not order it this way to be difficult, I do so because I cannot eat the sauce or onions due to health reasons. The kid who took my order asked me THREE times to confirm this. Order actually arrived in a timely manner. We sit down to eat and my cheesesteak has onions on it. UGH! Thankfully, I had ordered a side or I wouldn't have had anything to eat as I cannot eat the sub. My husband ordered a crab cake sub and the crab cake was HORRIBLE. It looked, and tasted, like a frozen crab cake that had been microwaved. There was more lettuce on the sub than anything. The mozzarella sticks and jalapeno poppers both tasted like cheap, low quality, frozen products. We have ordered these same items on so many occasions and in the past they were top notch. The last few times though, it has gotten progressively worse. My husband offered to call about my sub since I am not able to eat it; however, I declined as I didn't feel like dealing with the hassle of calling back and waiting for the correct sub to be delivered. As such, I just had my sub par, slightly warm, chewy mozzarella sticks for dinner. I don't think we will be ordering from here ever again. Three strikes and you are out. Sad because for so many years we have enjoyed Roma's. I guess all good things must...

When I asked about pizza for a person with a dairy allergy, the owner himself spoke with me. He was patient with my many questions and extremely accommodating with the needs of a person with food allergies. He made sure to have dairy free mozzarella on hand, he sent me a photo of the label so I could check it and he assured me that my son's pizza would not get cross contamination. He even offered to came in early to clean and prepare a separate fryer, so my son could have safe fries to go along with the pizza, without my even having to ask! Antonio did all of this, with no expectations, did not ask for a good review or to spread the word of his shop. He only wanted to make sure my son could enjoy pizza, like the rest of us. The food is delicious, the prices and portions are good and the service is hands down, the best we've ever gotten at a pizza place. We are so grateful and highly recommend Roma's Pizza to anyone, especially people looking for caring and kind attention to special...
