Sol De Mayo Tacos — Restaurant in Dalton

Just came back from eating lunch here. They have a large assortment of street tacos here. From steak, pork, chicken to cactus. They also have Nachos and burrito bowls and various other items. The chips here are flour tortilla chips which were pretty good since they didn't fry it too long where it gets too crunchy. I got 3 tacos for $8 and a side of rice for $2. The tacos comes with some pinto beans as well. I didn't care too much for the rice. It was a little too soggy for me for Mexican rice. The Carne Asada (steak) taco I got was bland. Other people eating with me agreed that the steak taco needed more seasoning. I also got Al Pastor (marinated pork) and it was better but also needed more seasoning. Just a little more salt would help. The best taco I got was the poblano and queso taco which tasted great. I think with just some more seasoning on some of their meats these tacos would be so much better, but overall I enjoyed the food and would try it again. Giving two stars because my husband likes some of the food. I would give one star for ability to greet and acknowledge customers. Ruben has always been nice to us but I can’t same the same for the girls up front. Don’t bother calling to place an order, they don’t answer the phone. This has been ongoing for the last year or more, so finally I asked why they never answer. She claimed to be busy but when I walked up (seconds after calling) all three of them were just standing there at the register. On other occasions, they have been on their cell phones texting and not bothering to acknowledge us. First time to try this new place and the food is delicious! Too bad I won't be back, because I don't tolerate poor customer service. I called 7 times to place my lunch order on my lunch break...NO ANSWER. So I arrive there to finally place my order in person and have to wait for one sweet girl to give every college student there order before she can take other orders. When it's finally my time, I asked if her phone was working because I had called so many times. She replied "oh I don't answer it when we're busy." Didn't see a manager in sight unless it was one of the two dudes in the kitchen or the only girl at the counter. Good to know this new business already has enough customers, they don't need...
