Great rotating beer selection that the server typically know a good amount about. Lovely indoor/outdoor space with a great fire pit and open seating. I would love to give this place a five as we come here often, the concept is perfect, and it’s got great sun and potential, but their execution is off. There’s always a line to order, which is fine, but it’s cluttered w people ordering food as well so wanting to run up and order another beer takes forever. There are two registers but in the 40+ times (no exaggeration) I’ve been here, they have never had both tills open. The one person designated to the till takes all orders, fills all beer/wine drinks, and tends to the patrons at the bar. It’s too much! The line piles up and gets ridiculous. Perhaps open both tills, one can be for food and drinks, one just drinks to ease this issue. Seems like a simple fix- prove me wrong 😊The staff is all so nice, pleasant, young and sweet, but could use a quick course in hospitality and urgency. Ide love to come here to work on a sunny afternoon but they don’t have WiFi. Additionally, and by far the worst part, is that this place is all concrete, steel and stone, 80% outdoor, 70% uncovered, and dogs are only allowed in this tiny section due to “city coding”. Fight this harder Project Social!!! Don’t lay back and take the L. This should be a dog friendly place. It naturally lends to a crowd who likely have sweet family dogs that would enjoy the sun and relaxed nature...
Read moreOrder some taters tots, pilsner and what else but hazy. It's a Friday early evening the weather is not hot, it probably never hot here since we just straight down from salt Creek, but my beer glass is empty and like every one else was inside by the bar to fill up. The line was way too long, so here is my dilemma, do I get up to get to fill er up or just lazy lounge around my out door chair feeling the breeze across my face but with an empty glass though.
No fear, there is a waiter walking around with one of those wireless thingy and ask would you like another beer. This is definitely a thousand words is worth more than a picture, if you know what I mean.
So there is your tip, why wait in line when you could lounge around still have your conversation going and have the cold beer fizz up to your table and it's fast too.
This is definitely worth a big tip!
Updated: came here several times since and still as good as a few cold beers. The selections are huge, range from ipa, sour, Belgium, lager, cider and even non-alcoholic (?) Came with my two years old granddaughter and while we order a beer and some food, the beers you get right away the food they bring them out to your table. Our server was so kind, realized the kiddo want to participate, handed my granddaughter a cup of water to have just like the adults with their...
Read moreI recently had the pleasure of visiting Project Social in Dana Beach, California, and I must say, it was an incredible experience from start to finish. This place truly captures the essence of a neighborhood watering hole while offering so much more.
The food at Project Social is simply delicious. I ordered the June burger and loaded tots, and they exceeded my expectations in terms of flavor and freshness. Every bite was a delightful explosion of taste. It's clear that the chefs here pay careful attention to quality ingredients and presentation.
One of the highlights of my visit was the extensive beer selection. As an IPA lover, I was thrilled when the bartender recommended an excellent brew for me to try. The flavors were exceptional, and it was evident that the beer was crafted with skill and passion. Project Social truly knows how to curate a wide variety of beers that will satisfy even the most...
