Germantown Deli is like a “sleeper” muscle car - unassuming on the outside but high performance on the inside! Tucked away and easy to miss this place rocks it with both a broader menu than your usual deli as well as a bit more creativity. For instance, the grill cheese is not some plain-Jane grill cheese, but rather combines English Cheddar, Jack and Gruyere on sourdough! We’re talking restaurant style cooking at deli prices and using ingredients like pesto mayo, balsamic drizzle, arugula, herb aioli and my fav -avocado – which goes to show you the culinary expertise used in building these great sandwiches. And there is also a large selection of salads if you’re looking to slim down a bit.
The inside is unassuming but comfortable with limited tables and chairs available if you want to eat in, and the owner always seems to be wearing a smile. If you’re anywhere near this area I can’t imagine why you’d waste your time at Bagelman or somewhere else when you can go here and skip the lines, skip the parking hassle and get much better food. I know...

Fabulous breakfast sandwiches and breakfast burritos. The highlight of my meal was the side of corned beef hash. Clearly, made from scratch. And plenty to share. In fact, every item ordered was oversized.
I’d probably go for the fifth star, but I found the chorizo a little too tame. Everything else was spot on. There is a firehouse right across the street. I’m sure that is no coincidence to their success.
The only thing not oversized was the bill. This close to the New York border, the prices could be so much higher. And, I’d pay it...
Read moreThe people working there are very nice and on top of that the food is very good. We got our food in probably 4 minutes so they are definitely fast. I had the Bacon egg and cheese and so far that's the closest thing that reminds me of O'Neils Bacon egg and cheese that was in bethel. Sense they closed during the pandemic I've been looking for a new magical sandwich and this is where I'm at. I look forward to going again. The only down side is the look of the place but if they get enough business maybe they can improve that. Again appearance wise it doesn't look welcoming but give this place a try. You...
