Gisella's Ristorante — Restaurant in Danbury

If I could give a negative star I would. I have been here so many times and it’s been great. I was at the restaurant tonight with my family and when my food arrived I started eating and I took a bite and something hard almost cracked my tooth. I had eggplant Florentine, so nothing should’ve been hard and when I pulled it out of my mouth, it was a cracked clam shell. I told the waitress she apologized and she informed me that she was going to tell the owner. She offered to remake the meal and I was not going to be charged. The fact that the owner was there and never came over to speak to me I find incredibly rude. I have been going there for years and I find it insulting that she was informed and could not be bothered to check on a customer after her kitchen made a serious error. My mouth and tooth still hurt and I was not able to finish my meal. You definitely lost a customer today. We will...

The place looks fancy. The food is great. I got penne al a vodka. The prices are very fair based on the portion. The cheese cake is only 5 bucks. The staff seem to actually come over when you need them not constantly when you don't which is good. Usually servers show up a lot or not at all and in either case it's most likely not when you need it. These servers are in my opinion the best I've seen. They seem to always be there when it matters. On top of that the salad came out about 30 seconds after ordering and the main meals came out probably 4 to 5 minutes after that. I'm insanely impressed with the speed and timing with this place. As someone who works in Customer service I felt the need to share my experience with this restaurant.

Gisella’s just catered our work Holiday party. Upon my first initial contact with them, the staff was friendly and professional and even had the owner contact me herself.

From there on out Gisella and I were in communication and making sure that all the entree choices made would make sense and be in accurate quantities to feed the staff. The customer service that I received was absolutely top notch. The delivery was made in a timely manner and the food was delicious. Our staff hasn’t stopped raving about the food!
