Overall amazing experience. Very professional and friendly staff they obviously love their jobs and are good at it. Recommended from a friend that family members own the restaurant and was told the red sauce is an old family recipe that put them on the map. Ordered a veal parmigiana to try the sauce and was blown away. The noodles (I forget the actual name) was cooked perfectly, the veal was legit, and the red sauce is absolutely terrific. The red sauce was so light, fresh, and tasty that my tastebuds was very pleased. The bread given as an appetizer was fresh, soft, and very yummy. The interior of the restaurant is small and compact and has a lovely friendly vibe. Also tried the chocolate chip cannolis and tiramisu, and even though they are home made, I had to knock off 1 star for these. To be upfront and honest, I have never tried a cannolis before and wasn’t really digging it. The tiramisu was decent, but I guess I’m always chasing over the best tiramisu I’ve ever had for comparison sake. I would have given a 5/5 if I hadn’t tried the desserts. I highly recommend trying this place for some fresh homemade Italian food. At 5:00 pm on a Wednesday it was pretty busy and was seated promptly. Might be a mad house on the weekends so plan accordingly as parking is tight and few in the immediate parking area.

We have wanted to try Daniella’s for a while and finally did with three friends. Booked via Open Table, arrived 15 minutes early and our table was ready. Our server was friendly, helpful and attentive. The warm, crusty complimentary bread was outstanding served with Parmesan, crushed red pepper olive oil. For entrees, our party ordered: the chicken Marsala special over cavatelli, salmon over risotto (which was a substitute), baked haddock over risotto and a bowl of Italian wedding soup. Everything arrived together, piping hot and delicious. My chicken Marsala melted in my mouth although the Marsala sauce (taste) was different from any I’ve had, can’t quite put my finger on how I could describe the “difference “. Both seafood dishes were perfectly cooked. For dessert, we all shared the tiramisu which hit the spot. We would all definitely return and this was a great stop before our show at the No Shore Music Theatre.

Picture one: meatball sandwich (1/14/24) Picture two: chicken parm sandwich (9/13/24) I have been a frequent customer of Daniella's for years, and it is disheartening to see that their sandwiches have recently experienced a drastic decline in quality. Since opening, Daniella's has consistently made my favorite sandwiches, using fresh and crunchy bread that compliments the contents of the sandwich extremely well. However, tonight is the first night this fresh bread was substituted for a much cheaper and soggier roll. This severely impacted the quality of the sandwich. While the inner contents of the sandwich maintained their fresh quality and well-balanced distribution, the sandwich itself was noticeably smaller, the bread cheaper, and the price the same. I hope this disappointing change does not reflect a trend in the quality of their food.

We went to Daniella’s based on a recommendation from my parents and my brother & his wife. My family lived in Italy for several years while I was growing up, so we tend to be very picky when it comes to Italian food.

On a Friday afternoon I was somehow able to get a last-minute 7 PM reservation for two on Saturday night. There wasn’t an empty seat in the house, yet those who were waiting in the lobby were also seated quickly and well taken care of by the front of house staff.

The service was excellent and attentive. We each had an absolutely wonderful meal that was perfectly seasoned, piping hot and appropriately sized. I would say without a doubt that this is the best Italian food I’ve ever had on the North Shore.

We wrapped up our meal and I ended up asking to take about half of my pasta dish to-go. By the time we had gotten halfway home, I realized that I had left my to-go bag on the table. We called the restaurant and they told us that they already turned the table over and had disposed of my food. They apologized profusley but we understood and said this would just be an excuse for us to come back again. We hung up, but about a minute later, we received a call from the restaurant manager. He apologized and offered to make me a fresh half-portion of the pasta dish. Naturally we turned around and picked it up.

Not only was this the best Italian food I’ve had in a very long time, but the staff truly go above and beyond to ensure that you have a wonderful experience. I’m very appreciative all of the efforts of the staff we met last night and we will certainly be back again soon, and in the meantime will recommend Daniella’s to our friends...

Just wanted 2 hot lattes yesterday and had such a terrible experience here. Asked for just 2 simple hot lattes with skim milk. I first got a mean exclamation that they don't have skim milk when I've gotten it there before so that was surprising. I then proceeded to watch a young kid who must've been a new hire attempt to make the lattes. It seemed as though he had never used an espresso machine before and despite asking multiple people around him for help on what to do, none was given to him. I was then given the lattes which looked like just straight black coffee. I was about to leave accepting that they just were wrong but decided to let the kid know they were made wrong so he was aware, I didn't even want them remade just wanted to let them know. I explained to the kid how the steamed milk should have some sort of foam and He said no and that they were wrong cause "the decaf coffee was so hot" I believe he just heated up the milk for a few seconds and just used the ready made decaf pot based on his answer. The manager or whoever was there, an adult man who was taking the catering orders proceeded to rudely input and said "did you want them made again" and I said no I was just letting him know and said "you all just watched him and he needed help and no one helped him" and then he said "good day to you" both very rudely and passive aggressive. I'm not sure if this was my experience due to the fact my order was so small but we come here often for food and catering and have a lot of family come as well and this experience has turned me off completely of coming back and will definitely let my family...

Took my employees out to lunch and we’ve been there a few times and service was ok not great but I decided to take everyone because it’s close to work/home. We all ordered from a waitress by the name of D I believe who started out very pleasant but as the orders got a bit long, you could feel that she wasn’t happy about questions or certain requests my friends were asking (ie: no garlic or no cheese) as we all could see her eyes roll and feel the unease as she would take a deep breath and sigh as another question came. By the way the questions weren’t difficult as they all were all menu related. It got very interesting as I ordered for fellow employee who wasn’t present and she wanted simply chicken cutlet parm and has an allergy to pasta so pasta wasn’t necessary but when I received bill for it I was asked to pay full price for full dinner. I then proceeded to ask my waitress why I was being charged for a full dinner and she then told me she would speak to manager. She returned to say “sorry but we can take off $1 for the pasta and I’m like what ??? $1 for pasta? so if I order a bowl of pasta it cost $1 ??? Made no sense and I didn’t want to start an argument but by that point none of us had any drinks refilled nor were asked to get refilled so we were all pretty fed up with the poor service and all agreed that we would never be back. By the way the food was very good but service and overcharge for chicken parm dinner was simply not enough to come back. Oh well...Olive Garden is just a good seriously. With free...
