Palate changing! We were in town for a funeral and stumbled across this hidden gem. Lesson learned on not judging "a book by its cover". The exterior looked a little shady, as did the neighborhood. The vestibule/automatic sliding doors made me question my decision even more, I felt like I was going into a grocery store. Since having traveled for almost 6 hours and the hubs was borderline hangry, i thought let's give it ago! Surprised to say is an understatement, palate changing! Multiple options for brick oven dishes, pasta, pizza, and sauces. The interior was very rustic and inviting. Be mindful of the house dressing. Our son and his gf were in town to see a hockey game. They love Italian so we decided to give it a try. Quality of food was great. Large portions, except the salad, but that’s ok with all the free bread and large entrees. More than we could eat. Prices were higher than most other places locally but you get a lot of food for the money. The problem was we specifically told the waiter my wife is allergic to tomatoes and peppers. She asked if either of those were in the Chicken capellini. Our waiter assured us there were no tomatoes or peppers so we ordered it to split. It came with both tomatoes and peppers in it. Wondered why place seemed empty for a new restaurant in danville. Service was nice and quick. I got the chicken broccoli, tortellini was over cooked sauce was salty and at 20$ a plate I wasn't expecting frozen chicken. My wife got the chicken parmigiana the sauce was so acidic one bite made me think I would have acid reflex. The breaded chicken patty was machine breaded and frozen. This quality of food and cooking I would expect from rossville family restaurant but even they don't expect 20$ a plate. I will not go back and will not recommend. Psa.
