We ate At Rivers Edge for the first time last weekend after exploring Ft. George just down the road. The downstairs was pretty packed (always a good sign) so we made our way upstairs for lunch. Upon arrival the staff was welcoming, friendly and helpful. Upstairs is a whole vibe, with pool tables, multiple TVs, darts, and other games. Our waiter was fantastic, he was by himself up there and was busy when we got there, he took great care of every party. He kept our drinks full, and as busy as they were, our food didn’t take long. Let me just say, our lunch was delicious! Everything was hot and fresh. I got the fish tacos with sweet potato fries, my husband got the smash burger and it was delicious, my daughter got the kids chicken and it was also amazing! Five star experience didn’t end there! I left my purse… then didn’t realize it until the next day and of course they were closed. After some research I contacted the owners, who went above and beyond to meet me on their day off. My purse was put away and safe! The owners were so friendly and understanding! We look forward to all they have planned for this place and can’t wait to go back!...

After ordering, I figured I’d have plenty of time to reflect on life, solve world peace, maybe even write a novel, because the food took over an hour to arrive. At the 40-minute mark, I asked for it to-go, but I guess my food was on vacation because it finally showed up after an hour... and trust me, it wasn't worth the wait.
I ordered the Philly, but I’m not sure what I got. It was so tiny, I thought it might’ve been an appetizer for ants. Steak? Barely. Cheese? It was playing hide-and-seek. Honestly, I’ve had gas station hotdogs that were faster, cheaper, and tasted like a five-star meal compared to this. The steak tasted like it came straight out of a freezer box of discount Steakums.
Oh, and for $17, you’d expect a feast, right? Nope, just the Philly, some fries, and a whole lot of regret. I’ll let you be the judge—check the photo and decide if that snack-sized sandwich was worth the price tag. Spoiler...

Always say our on the back patio, and always had killer food and drinks. Although it is 50 miles south of where we live, we always found a way to eat here. Yesterday, we made a special trip to the restaurant. My wife went in to make sure they knew we had a dog and to make sure it was ok to bring him around back as usual, only to be told that the dog was no longer allowed, even though we were asking to sit outside like we always have. After checking their FB page, I found this statement in their overview tab: "Yes, we allow dogs....". Didn't want to create an issue by questioning the person who told that to my wife, we left. Pretty sure we won't be back. Too bad, too. Loved the food...
