We stopped in at about 1 PM on a Saturday in January 2024 for lunch. We had quiche without meat, but they do have a meat one also. We also had the duo turkey sandwich and salad. Both were served within 10 minutes. We enjoyed the lunch. We were able to customize the order. Table seemed to have some crumbs on it, that were not visible but we could feel them. Clean restroom. The staff was very friendly to us.

My hubby ordered two types of avocado toast and two drinks. I didn't expect the avocado toast with bacon and a lot of sauce, but it was actually DELICIOUS! We were satisfied. It was a really hot day, and we appreciated the staff who tried to provide water for our dog. This place is pet-friendly. You can stay with your dog on the patio. The restroom was clean. It seems like there's no dedicated parking lot.

Just driving through this cute little town to find this gem of a place! The building was beautiful to look at and the people inside were so kind. They food tasted wonderful and super filling given their large portions! The drinks we tried were a chai and a plain latte and they both hit the spot! If you live in town or are just stopping through, definitely don’t miss out on this charming place!

What a delightful discovery in the Shanty Cafe...had lunch there yesterday and it was quite a treat. Had made a trip to Darien to go to the Local Exchange so went around the corner to the Shanty Cafe for the first time. My friend and I had the Darien Duo (salad w/ham sandwich, she had a turkey sandwich) and my MIL had a Club sandwich. Since I don't drink coffee or Latte's I was pleased to see I could order a simple adult beverage (Bloody Mary). Of course they have tea and sodas but the cocktail was very good. I also bought a ham and cheese scones which I ate for breakfast this morning and it was delicious. Will definitely make a trip to the...

The service here was memorable. This was the best customer service I’ve seen in many years. The staff was so friendly and hospitable. They went above and beyond to offer my dog a fan, water, an umbrella for shade, and kindness. Then they offered me an extension cord to charge my phone (Hurricane Helene).

The food was great as well: Recommend the avocado toast. Their tea was a perfect brew and freshly made. The Shanty Cafe will forever be on my radar when driving through...

Stopped in here after going to Fort King George, and got a Frozen Caramel Latte with 2 espresso shots instead of one. I'm a Starbucks man, even worked there for a while, but this drink was EVEN BETTER THAN STARBUCKS! You could taste the freshness and the roasted flavor of the coffee/espresso. It's been two days and I'm still craving another one. I'm going to have to go back and buy a back of their coffee bc it was so good! Also, the young lady who was the barista was...
