This place has become my favorite local pizzeria. I have not found vegan cheese offered by a pizzeria ANYWHERE else in the Westport/Dartmouth area, so I was thrilled when I discovered Brick. When I do order vegan cheese at establishments (generally 10+ miles from my home), I have never not paid a premium, sometimes even the cost of an entire bag of vegan cheese (we're talking up to +$5). I very much appreciate the local option and the fair price!
I generally order take out from Brick biweekly and have never had my order messed up...and I get an awful lot of messed up orders from non-vegan restaurants considering my only modification is removing cheese. I may be vegan by choice, by I'm certainly not lactose intolerant by choice! I would know if my pizza were made with dairy as soon as it hits my stomach and it hasn't been once in the months I've been a customer. Their cheese is also excellent and satisfies my pizza craving every time. Is it homemade?!
Furthermore, in post-Covid 2023, $11.99 for a personal pizza IS A STEAL, especially because, in my case, I can actually get cheese! I can tell you most vegans in this area are used to ordering cheese-less vegetarian pizza and paying up to $20 for a personal-sized pie; true story. Brick is an absolute bargain with a delicious product. I'm sorry, but, respectfully, if you think this place is overpriced, you need to go elsewhere. Or perhaps travel outside of your own bubble once in a while so you can get a grip on the reality that is the present United States economy...for a small business no less. This isn't Papa Johns. I often find myself explaining away what feels like extreme pricing (the $20 pizza mentioned above, for example, is a personal experience for cheese-less veggie pizza at a non-vegan chain), but Brick is totally reasonable. My only suggestion would be to allow more basic veggies (onions, mushrooms, and tomatoes - not premium veg like artichokes and olives!) on the BYO pizzas at no extra cost as only two are currently allowed at the price point. This said, vegetables are still expensive nowadays - and I'm not being charged more for my special cheese - so I have zero complaints and find everything very reasonable.
I have not ordered for dine in yet, but I have spent time in the dining room waiting for my pizza to be fresh from the oven. From my experience, the tables are always clean. The dining area is also quaint, but the booths are spacious. On my most recent wait, there was a small party of at least a dozen people enjoying their pizzas together. The waitstaff was bringing everything to them fresh and everyone seemed happy.
Overall, I would give the Dartmouth Brick Pizzeria Napoletana five stars for an always delicious product at a fair price. I will continue being a regular customer. Thank...
Read moreFirst time customer, ordered delivery through Door Dash based off of the reviews. I was disappointed and really though this pizza was going to be really good. Pizza is very chewy, wasn’t crunchy at all. I think their yeast ratio in their dough is off… flavor was ok… they don’t put enough onions on their bbq chicken pizza. Their small salads are actually very small and more like a tiny side salad, definitely not worth the $8. I wouldn’t try again. I have included photos of the pizza, mostly so you could see the 4 sprinkles of red onion slivers on the bbq chicken pizza. The 2nd photo is of the cheese pizza. Edited to add- the owners response to your negative reviews are passive aggressive and unnecessary. If I ate your pizza and it was rubbery and chewy, maybe someone didn’t mix the ingredients right. I don’t need to hear where your oven comes from or what kind of dough you use, I’m a customer looking for crispy easy to chew pizza, if a customer says it feels like I’m chewing on rubber maybe a simple apology or no response at all would get you another chance thinking maybe it was a temperature issue when your dough was rising. Being snarky won’t make me want to give it a 2nd try I’d be afraid you would...
