I have been wanting to come to The Griiled Cheese Bar for quite some time. I have followed them in social media and finally made it there for my daughters Birthday last night. The food was amazing but the service and atmosphere was horrible. We were the only customers there . They close at 9:00 and we got there approximately 7:30 (so not too close to their closing time). Un like the other reviewers we did not have a welcoming or super friendly experience when we walked in. The restaurant was very cold, I don’t know if they haven’t adjusted the thermostat for the cold weather yet(it was 21’ outside) We both had to leave our coats on because we were so cold. The music was so loud! I later found out they have one of those machines you pay and pick your own music. The chosen music by one of the employees was a Screamo song. If you don’t know what that is it’s just like the name suggests….they scream the lyrics. I guess the atmosphere was just different than I expected. I thought it was a restaurant that had cute decor and drinks but it’s really is loud like an actual sports type bar. After we ordered our food and drinks it seemed to take a very long time to get our food.(remember we were the only customers in the restaurant) Our waitress Never asked if we need refills before our food came out and once she gave us our food she never came back to see if we liked it or if we needed anything else. In fact After waiting so long for her when we were done eating I finally gave up and walked to the front of the restaurant and asked for our check and to go boxes. Because I didn’t want to spend anymore time there so I left cash on the table which gave the waitress way more of a tip then she deserved in my option. When we got to the car it was warmer inside the vehicle which had been sitting outside for over an hour in 21• weather. The restaurant was so cold!! It just seemed no one could be bothered by us. Everyone wanted to focus on closing down for the night. Our waitress was sweeping and cleaning the whole time which is good when you can multitask but you shouldn’t totally neglect your customers in the process. Like I stated earlier the food was actually very good. If I decide to come back it will strictly be for...
Read moreWe were not greeted upon arrival but told to seat ourselves. We did, then waited 10 minutes before our server (with a terrible attitude) came by. There were two other tables of customers. 15 minutes for a margherita flight and another 10 for the peach smoothie. The server told us they were out of half (and I mean HALF) the things we tried to order. She was very soft spoken, and when we asked her to repeat the word "tortilla" because we couldn't hear her, she said very slowly, "tor-til-la". 30-40 minutes for two sandwiches and a salad. Fries were hot but underdone, one sandwich was cold, and the other was missing the steak that was ordered for it. When I told the server, she tried to gaslight me, saying I didn't ask for it. Eventually she decided she could get me a side of it. The tomatoes on my sandwich were two end slices and the "Caprese" came with spinach instead of basil. Except it didn't, because they were out of spinach. The server came back and said they were out of steak and asked if chicken was okay. By the time it came, we were finished with our food. The chicken was dry and flavorless and she still charged $4 for it. She then came and wordlessly dropped off our $80 check. Super disappointed. I'll give it another shot because it looked super cute and tasty but this experience...
Read moreWe were pretty excited to try this place. But we’re pretty disappointed. I’ll be honest I did NOT have high expectations as it was.
Let’s start with we ordered to go, as we wanted to sit at the park and enjoy the nice weather.
The Pros Good atmosphere Larger than expected drink selection Outside seating Good location
The Cons The Food was mediocre at best, the sandwiches are huge which is a plus, but they aren’t very good. The Tomato Soup was so salty it was not edible, we threw both of ours away Prices are quite high for what you get AND depending on what you order prices are NOT on the menu, drink prices are absolutely not on the menu. So for 2 sandwiches with soup and one Mac bowl it was $40. The Mac N Cheese bowl (BBQ Pulled Pork) was ok but my daughter described it as boring. Again it’s a healthy portion. No utensils available for to go orders Speed of Service we ordered and people from my party walked to Rudy’s, ordered and were back waiting on us before our food was even done. Like I said we were ordering to go so we could sit outside and enjoy the park, it’s a great location for this!
Overall, I do not think we...
