The history on the Rock Island Arsenal is so interesting. Quarters one being the second biggest single family home the United States government has second only too the White House. The top floor was where troops would stay to protect the building. The mouldings are very fancy and I thought they were plaster but they were made out of cast. When they sent cannon barrels and other steel they melted into decrotive oriental piece's. Very neat place to visit.
