Public House — Restaurant in Davenport

Visited at 10 am the Saturday before St Patrick's day. They had a $12 drink special: a bloody Mary with a couple food items and a glass of dark Irish beer. (My party also had a large glass of dark beer for a more normal price of $4). The special was something they did last year too, and bar was crowded-- with the crowd mainly in their mid 20s to 40. Everyone was having a good time, and the only downside was it was noisy between the voices and a (too loud) stereo system playing. The young waitresses were working hard and friendly. The owners were also working hard and greeting customers.

The bar itself is in a small strip mall, it has large front windows letting in light, plenty of big screen TVs, and lots of table and bar seating. They also have a fenced area outside with nice seating. I don't think they ordinarily serve food, but their Google website says they permit outside food. They also have a few bar games. They have a very large selection of craft beers.

It is a nice bar, and the staff and owners seemed efficient and friendly. It was very noisy inside today, but it was standing room only, the music was up loud, and like many modern bars there are a lot of hard surfaces that were amplifying the sound. Edited to reply- if I was partaking in the shots as the DD or showing signs of intoxication please tell me what shirt I was wearing, which shot or even what time because I hadn’t stepped foot in this establishment for at least 8 months prior to 7pm and only went in to use the restroom? This is just a boldface lie and so unprofessional to accuse someone sober of showing sign of intoxication lol. Not to mention after we returned to our “house party” and told the rest of our friends a whole group of them went up WITHOUT a DD & were served a shot and drink in a matter of minutes while listening to the bartender talk badly about those cut off. This establishment really needs to do some work on itself and professionalism.. A group of friends and myself as the DD went for a shot at 4pm. Took said shot and left. Came back at 5pm for 1 shot. Took it and left. Came back at 7pm for a shot and were told they were all cut off with no explanation besides the owner said so and we could have her number if we wanted. Very unfortunate that you aren’t “allowed” 4 shots in a matter of 4 hours with a DD but can sit there and have drink/shot after shot with no concern. I went in they kicked me out because we had shots at 4 than shots at 5 shots at 7 and we also had a designated drive i feel like this is targeted and we were racially profiled and they kicked us out and no one else and they even started cursing at as in a very rude maner and the bar tender was rude to me and a group of really nice people there was only 3 of us and this place is only getting one stars i feel this was really just rude and unfair and one of the females in the group a creepy guy looked down her shirt at her boobs and it made her very...
