Country Style Ice Cream & Coffee — Restaurant in Davenport

I like the Country Style Ice Cream near me Utica Ridge Road (I'm even happier they're moving closer to my home in Bettendorf, as well). I happened to be in West Davenport getting lunch on a Sunday morning and decided the best way to cap off the meal would be a trip here. Ice Cream on Sunday - nothing's better right?

The interior of the Country Style is incredibly similar to the one on Utica - hardwood floors, teal walls with wooden doors hung at intervals as decoration, subway tile in the prep area, and an overhead covered with a drop ceiling and fluorescent light fixtures. The other great part of this store is the presence of a couch and two plush chairs. I'm a huge fan of comfy chairs, so this was a big plus for me.

I opted for a vanilla soft serve in a cone for this trip. It was of the style and quality I'd expect from Country Style - it's a little denser than most soft serves, but also has a bit stronger vanilla flavor than others. Not much more to say, other than I like it!

I probably won't be back to this particular location any time soon. The new location in Bettendorf though - absolutely I'll be there! Keep at it, Country Style, I'll see...

I've grown up eating Country Style Ice Cream and enjoy any chance I get to stop by. My last visit to the Davenport, IA location started out great but changed when I was ready to receive my ice cream. Was informed that a "paying customer " can only choose a maximum of 3 flavors for a shake because more than that makes it too liquidy and "takes away from the product we're trying sell".....

What!!!

You're supposed to be selling ice cream based on a long-standing, well-known name that many people make it a priority to get when they come to the QC.

To limit a "paying customer" on what they deem satisfying doesn't bode well for future business.

Hopefully, the Moline location offers the same quality service that they always have.

I understand wanting to have a business identity and create a specific following, but doing it at the expense of faithful patrons doesn't seem like the...
