Wise Guys Pizza & Pub — Restaurant in Davenport

We’re staying at West Lake County Campground and had come to the laundromat to do several loads of clothes. When we were through, saw the pizza place next door and decided to give it a try. There is outside seating and there were a couple of people seated outside but we wanted to go inside. Opened the door to a full dining room but we found an open table as soon as we walked in-no wait. Our server came to our table quickly and took our drink orders and we had them in no time. We were still looking over the menu when he came back so we didn’t order immediately. He had several other tables but continued to check on us. We ordered two of the bambino (individual size) pizzas. I had the Mac N Cheese and my husband had the veggie-both were excellent. They have a really good crust and they don’t skimp on the cheese. I tried the Mac N Cheese out of curiosity more than anything else and was pleasantly surprised. The pizzas were out in a reasonable amount of time. They were also about to play a type of musical bingo, but we didn’t stay that long. There were several TV’s playing sports and music playing. Tuesday night pretty busy and Poor waitress was by herself so we tried to be patient and understanding. So when we asked waitress nicely do you know how much longer? She said well IDK we are busy, very rudely, ok she was obviously stressed. So we sat there as we watched her run from table to table running her hands thru her long hair in frustration, so finally 45 mins later we got our Garden pizza with miniscule Vegetable toppings and, burnt! We didn't wanna say anything cause service was so slow we were not gonna wait anymore. So as we struggled with our fork and knives to eat our burnt crust she finally showed up and asked how are thing's? We said burnt and tough, she sighed and gave us a $4 discount.. Probably our last time there, place is obviously mismanaged is this why Bettendorf closed... 1 star for...

This is our third time here at this location. We've really tried to like it.

Each time we come, service takes the initial order and barely stops back by until food comes, then the occasional refill if you're lucky. Takes over 30 minutes for appetizers and that usually arrives right before the pizza.

We've been here for lent, ordering cheese fries with no bacon, and received a bacon-covered mess. It honestly wasn't worth having them redo it as it took so long for it to come out in the first place.

We've tried the pizza and though it tastes good, the crust tends to be burnt. We ordered a half sausage pepperoni, half pepperoni pizza and it came as a two topping sausage pepperoni. We've ordered a cheese pizza we could barely eat.

The Bettendorf location was a lot better. But we will...
