3 Squares Diner - Dawson — Restaurant in Dawson

We were on our way back to FL from Columbus and needed a place to stop and grab a quick breakfast and hit the road. We went in and no one greeted us so we sat ourselves. Table was filthy but one waitress came over and cleaned up. We sat there for over 15 minutes without anyone acknowledging us (other than cleaning the table). My husband could see one of the waitresses just watching from the back room. We almost walked out when someone was bringing over a menu. By that point we already knew what we wanted. I asked for coffee for two and gave our orders. I could see the ladies cooking were working non stop. We never got our coffee, I had to track the waitress down to ask for them. The food was brought out and our waitress left… no silverware. We then waited more and eventually found her to ask for silverware. No silverware available. So we managed with plastic (which at that point who cares we’re just hungry and we want to go). Food was good, at least we had something positive from our nightmare experience. We stopped in 3 Squares Diner in Dawson , Ga. Our servers were Ashley and India and our cooks were Sharon and Tam. We enjoyed every second of our visit. The girls made us feel so comfortable and at ease. The food was great. We were traveling from Eufaula, Opelika, and Prattville, Al to visit our older brother who lives in Tifton, Ga. Only 40% of his heart is working and his wife has been diagnosed with dementia. We were feeling so downhearted until we stopped in 3 Squares Diner. We are eating dinner. The cook is the only one working her butt off. The other two are either in the bathroom or office . Three people left because they didn't get waited on or they waited so long they ran out of time on their lunch break. It was not the cooks fault. She worked and did the other ladies jobs too. The one girl was to be doing dishes but she was visiting with three friends instead. I never have seen this restaurant in such a mess and so disorganized. We eat here 4 to 5 times a week and we know most of the workers. So sorry i have...
