Dillon’s Tavern — Restaurant in Dayton

Can in last night with my wife. The owner wants this place to be a “classy bourbon & cigar bar”. This is not the location for something like that. People in the area are use to being able to come here for a cheap drink and affordable food. The prices are ridiculous. The owner was waiting on people then expecting the bartender to know they needed to ring it in or to make sure she grabbed the receipt. The bartender that was working was fantastic. She had a great sense of humor and did an amazing job explaining to us all the different beers they offer. Unfortunately, we also witnessed the owner taking the bartender into the back room after a customer complained about her being racist. She was talking to my wife about something and the two black lady’s at the end of the bar decided the eavesdrop on the convo. We understand that “customers always right” but in a bar atmosphere this is not always the case. We will not...

Give them a shot. Food was ready quickly, staff was very pleasant when picking up, and then I didn't check my order and realized I was missing one component when I got home. I gave them a call and they literally drove the missing item 10 miles away to my door. That is next level customer service and they went above and beyond.

Most importantly, the food was delicious. The flavors and textures were spot on, exactly what I was hoping for. We got 4 different dishes, and of course some raita and naan and all of it was very well done. They are also more affordable than their competition in the area.

Third time here, third great experience.

First time, my wife and I got appetizers and fried chicken wings. Everything was great. We especially enjoyed samosas. Second time, I got a pizza and went to work. The bartender was pleasant. They even had a couple non-alcoholic beer options. I got an O'douls . Pizza tasted great. Tonight, I got a tenderloin sandwich and went to work. The sandwich tasted good and the seasoned fried were also a good option. Aside from the good tasting sandwich, it was a large piece of meat and a great value. This is a great neighborhood option.
