The coffee is decent, but my issue was with the service. The two young employees working the drive-thru this morning need serious lessons in customer service. I ordered a quadruple espresso macchiato breve. No questions were asked for clarification. After paying at the window, I was given a large cold drink filled to the brim. The drink was 90% white with a darker espresso color settling into it, appearing to be an iced quadruple espresso breve latte. Iâm not a barista, but Iâm pretty sure thatâs the opposite of a macchiato. I wasnât upset, nor was I rude, when I asked what the drink was, as it clearly wasnât what I ordered. After they tried to explain that it was correct and I was mistaken, I politely clarified that, by definition, what I was given wasnât a macchiato. The exchange became awkward as I felt I had to push them to remake my drink with hot espresso and a small amount of steamed half-and-half and foam. The boy seemed unusually nervous during the interaction for something that wasnât a big deal. I appreciate his attempt at politeness by asking how my day was while remaking the drink, but the look on his face felt like a forced admission of guilt in a hostage video. The young lady beside him made no such effort, visibly angry as she doubled down, insisting this was how they make their breve macchiatoâby pouring espresso shots into a tall glass of iced half-and-half. Their reaction made me question myself, so I quickly googled "macchiato," though I was certain Iâd ordered one at least a hundred times before. My attempt to show proof, along with an apology for not trying to be unreasonable, was met with an even angrier, piercing âyouâre a terrible personâ death stare. Honestly, I wouldâve accepted the drink if it was something I could stomach, but the thought of gulping down 16 ounces of half-and-half for my morning caffeine fix...
Read moreHave been here a few times now. I can not say enough on how friendly and courteous the staff have been. The blended Carmelicious is incredibly good. The cappuccino is good but basically average. The iced Turtle Latte is good but sweet (you better be a chocolate fan). The Cinnamon Toast Crunch Latte is very good but on the sweeter side. The bacon goda egg bites are tasty. I suggest eating them topped with salsa. The breakfast burrito is filling. Little plain without the salsa but better than most places. The waffle sandwich is the only thing I have mixed feelings with. It is good but the maple sweetness is a little lacking for me. I still say it is better than a Mcgriddle. Not much you can say for atmosphere other than, the nicer your car, the nicer the atmosphere. Definitely a place I would recommend if you need a quick coffee place in Dayton. Getting in and out is fairly easy whether you are headed north or south bound as you have a red light intersection at Hwy 27. Oooohh! And don't forget to try the cake bites. They are much better that the ones from that Seattle based...
Read moreStaff wasnât very friendly.. I got a sâmores blender and it was awful.. I took one sip and threw it away, Iâm not sure if it was made improperly or if itâs actually bad.. plus itâs expensive. I can go down the road and get the same size and a much better taste for $4 at masters. I also got a burrito and it wasnât very good either.. I saw the worker take it out of the freezer and out of a box and plastic wrap.. drip coffee makes theirs fresh.. their burritos are twice the size and the same price, and are actually edible.. this was my first time and unfortunately,...
