Finally, Filipino cuisine represented in a food court type establishment! I was craving for Filipino / Asian food in general and so happy to find this place through Google. It is located in Downtown Dayton so I was hesitant at first as I was unfamiliar of the location. However, I was surprised that it is located inside a newly renovated building with really nice outside decor/patio. The roads looked renovated recently with some nice color scheme that makes you want to dine in outside.
Since it is in a food court type setting, they have about 5 combo meal options prices between $10-$15 plus Ala carte/side items. The lumpia, pancit and barbecue are great. I do wish they offer more variety though. If they add more dishes to their menu or even add Halo halo, I would definitely be coming back almost everyday.
The outside dining area looks clean and perfect when the weather is nice. The inside dining has multiple tables and chairs with a huge bar serving alcohol in the middle.
There are plenty of other food options inside like Caribbean food, Tacos, etc so for mixed culture families will always have options. It is like going to an...
Read moreWe gave The Lumpia Queen food truck a try at Holiday at Home. I got the pancit bowl, and my husband got the Queen's Special. His adobo chicken was very flavorful, and he liked his lumpias and the dipping sauce, but my pancit bowl was mild in flavor to the point of being bland. I didn't find the serving filling, there was hard cabbage in it, and there was barely any chicken. The chicken that was there wasn't very appetizing. The pagers were a nice service so you could wait for your food away from the truck in some shade, but there wasn't much organization for pickup--I saw no designated/marked area for it and wasn't told what to do for pickup. I had to awkwardly hover and wait to be noticed, but I became confident I wouldn't be, so I butted in at one point, as I could see my food and didn't want it to get cold (the bowl was open to the air, no lid). Still, the food wasn't very hot. The service also wasn't very friendly. This isn't a place I would give...
Read moreI recently tried The Lumpia Queen's food at their pop-up truck near Riverscape in downtown Dayton, Ohio, and I must say, it was a delicious experience. I opted for the barbecue chicken skewer, and although it could have used a bit more barbecue sauce for my taste, the flavor was still fantastic. The food was prepared quickly, and I was given a buzzer to alert me when it was ready, which was a nice touch.
The staff at The Lumpia Queen were incredibly friendly and provided excellent service. While I have not visited their location inside West Social on W. 3rd St. in Dayton, based on my experience with their food truck, I would definitely consider giving their indoor location a try in the future.
Overall, I had a positive experience with The Lumpia Queen and would recommend their food to anyone looking to try something different and delicious. I look forward to trying more of their offerings...
